Being alone in Juniper Town at this time was a precarious way to live. Food and water was scarce, and several Pokémon were desperate to do anything to alleviate their hunger and thirst. This Riolu, Ray, was one of those lonely Pokémon. For a while, he'd lived a happy life with his parents, them able to scrape by with what little scraps they could muster, though lately those scraps were getting smaller and smaller. So, maybe Ray should've seen it coming...
He went to bed, his family not having a meal one day. And when he woke up, he was at the other side of the town, left in some alley. He fought through his hunger and tried to approach his home, where he could swear he'd see his parents were in. However, the door was locked. He tried knocking and kicking the door, but they never responded to him. After several minutes of trying to get their attention, Ray realized that he was officially locked out. They must've thought that they would've all starved if they kept feeding him! At least, that was one point of view to have. Another point of view was that they grew greedy and were sick of sharing the food with him!
Once he realized he couldn't get in anymore, he sat down at the front door to his home, burying his head into his knees in a show of depression. He took a few moments to take solace in his unfortunate condition, not even paying attention to his grumbling belly for a few moments. But, soon, he decided that he couldn't just sit here. Maybe his starved body would terrify his parents, but he didn't feel like wasting away, not now! No, he'd have to survive. He got up, and looked back at the front door sadly, before walking away.
Now the question was, does he want to go back, or is he too mad to see them again? Is he gonna try to make things better for his family so he can live at home again, or is he gonna stay away from them and make a living for himself?
