Chapter #4Terms of Edearment by: bastian   It was another day at the Peach Creek cul-de-sac as Edd and Eddy sat dejected; there was nothing to do. It was so boring even Ed wasn´t around to provide a cheap laugh. The two of them sat there Double D feeling like his eyes were going to glaze over when down the street Ed came barreling toward them like a runaway truck down a hill. The two looked at each other as Ed got closer.
¨He´s not stopping is, he?¨ Double D asked as the boys leapt out of the way in the nick of time before Ed ran them over like a freight train. He ran straight into a wall with a comedic splat then fell to the ground. The two upright Eds looked at each other and came over to see if big Ed was ok.
¨Hey genius, did you forget to put on the breaks.¨ Eddy pokes Ed in the back. Like a shot Ed bounced up with a big grin on his face.
¨Guys! I think I thought of a plan, one most lucrative my amigos.¨ He said proud of himself but the other boys were more skeptical.
"Lucrative?" Eddy scratched his head.
"Good choice of words Ed." Double D congratulated him. "Lucrative means profitable Eddy." Dollar sign bills popped up in Eddy's eyes as he was excited about this.
"You though of a scam big guy?" Ed nods up and down. "Oh boy, I knew I'd rub off on you."
¨C´mon guys, I´ll show you!¨ Ed started moving fast as the other two tried to keep up. After running through some woods they came to the back of a grocery store. Ed led them to near the dumpsters, next to it were stacks of canned foods that were dented and rusty. Ed proudly stood in front of them and showed them off to Double D and Eddy. "See what I found."
¨That's perfect you big lug. Double D, let's grab em, pack em, and sell em.¨ Eddy said rubbing his hands together.
Double D instantly saw the flaw in his friend's scam. ¨Eddy, we can't possibly sell this. They can be crawling with germs, who knows where they came from.¨ He picked up a can that turned to dust given how old it was. ¨Some of this stuff is older than we are!¨ Eddy sighed as Ed looked sad. They hung their heads for wasting a trip when they heard something further down the alley. Huddling behind the dumpster they grabbed a can each of potatoes in case they needed to throw them and waited to see who it was. They crouched down as the noise got closer. It was a low groan like from a monster movie that made the boys scared. ¨We should run!¨ Double D whispered almost shaking.
"Hey, creeps. We got cans of food and we're not afraid to use them." Eddy said, his voice shaking showing that his bravery is an act. Eddy got the boys ready and counted off. ¨One, Two... Go get them Ed.¨ Ed jumped up and roared as he charged towards the bushes, turning tail as he saw it was the Kanker sisters, Lee, May, and Marie looking for trouble as always. Lee stepped to the front and crossed her arms.
¨What are you lunkheads doing here? This is OUR spot!¨ She rolled up her sleeve and moved toward the boys when Marie stopped her.
¨Hey, what do you guys got there?¨ She asked as the boys looked at the cans of mashed potatoes in their hands. ¨Tell you idiots what, if you leave those here we´ll let you leave with your lives!¨ The boys tossed the cans in the air then sprinted away as the girls gasped and tried to catch them. They were successful except for May who´s can landed right on tip of her head. Marie shook her head but she and Lee laughed at having suckered the boys out of the food. They took their haul to their trailer but the power was off so they couldn´t even warm up their ill-gotten gains. May clamped down on her can and twisted it around like she was a can opener then sent the top flying like a discus. The other sisters had her open their cans as well and they stared at their meal licking their lips. The potatoes almost glowed green like more disgusting vegetables and smelled worse than the trailer but the girls were hungry and stuck their spoons in eagerly munching on the potatoes that were good when their parents were their age. The girls ate as greedy as pigs until they were scraping the last bits out when Lee dropped her can.
¨Hey.. did those taste right to you?¨ May looked puzzled at her. ¨Does anything we have around here taste good?¨ At that moment Marie looked down as her breasts now started swelling up black tank top pulling the shirt up above her belly button showing off her pale stomach.
