"You have to be joking." Quinton sighed feeling really uncomfortable.
"That's my final decision." Jennifer said sternly as she walked off leaving them on their own.
"Great, now look what we've gotten ourselves into." Vanessa whined.
"Can we just try and not fight so we can back to normal as soon as possible." Quinton said hoping to avoid conflict.
"Sure, we can try." Vanessa rolled her eyes as they made their way over to couch and sat next each other.

Quinton fired up a game while Vanessa was texting on her phone, most likely complaining about the situation.
"Why do you even enjoy these games so much." Vanessa sighed.
"Why not? Games are a nice escape." Quinton said calmly.
"Escape from what." Vanessa shrugged.
"This situation is a good example."
"Fair point."

"Can I try?" Vanessa suddenly asked.
"You want to play?" Quinton asked surprised.
"I could try."
"Sure, I suppose." Quinton said reluctantly passing the controller.

Quinton tried to coach Vanessa through the first few levels and explain how it all works. She wasn't quite as eager to listen at first but slowly started to warm up to it, but only for a moment.
"I am trying." Vanessa complained as she tried to do her own thing when Quinton was telling her exactly what to do.
"I'm just trying to help." Quinton yelled back.
"Let me try stuff on my own gosh." Vanessa complained back.
"I'm not the one who got us in this situation." Quinton shot back.
"Blaming me now?" Vanessa retorted.
"You're the one that started it." Quinton said starting to get heated.
"You are sooo totally wrong." Vanessa yelled back

"Getting along I see." Jennifer said as she walked into the room.
"Oh hi mom, no we weren't really..." Quinton panicked.
"Oh I don't care, you're not swapping back until you get along, doesn't matter to me how long that takes.
"Sorry little brother, I know you were just trying to help." Vanessa apologized.
"Not gonna work." Jennifer smirked.
"Worth a try." Vanessa shrugged.
