Luna and Jessica

“Lana!” Your formally little sister declared as she ran to you, “There you are,” Luna sighed, “I can’t take my eyes off you for a minute, can I?”

“Hi, Luna!” A voice called. You both looked and saw a teenage girl in a red one-piece, “Is everything okay?”

Luna smiled, “Yeah,” she assured the teen, “Lana just snuck away from me while I was changing. What I can’t figure out is how did she get in your chair?”

“She could have climbed,” the teen remarked, “But it’s more likely that someone put her here as a joke.”

“I’m sorry, Jessica,” Luna apologized, “I should have been watching her more closely.”

Jessica gave Luna a sympathetic pat on the head, “Hey,” she smiled, “You’re the best big sister I know; you just made a mistake.”

Luna smiled, “Thanks Jess; now come on, Lana; we’ve bothered Jessica enough for today.”

Jessica giggled, “I’m not bothered,” she corrected as she turned to you, “Hi Lana, do you wanna be a lifeguard?”

Luna giggled as well, “She should probably learn to swim first; that’s actually why we’re here; I’m gonna teach her how to swim.”

“That’s great,” Jessica proclaimed, “Maybe she can join your team.”

“Do you think?” Luna smiled before blushing, “I mean, probably not.”

“Hey,” Jessica lifted Luna’s chin, “Stranger things have happened, and she’s got a great teacher.”

“Thanks, Jessie,” Luna’s smile returned.

“No problem,” Jessica assured Luna. You couldn’t help but wonder what was going on. Why was Luna acting like nothing was wrong? Who was this girl? And why did Luna and this girl seem so close? “For right now,” Jessica added as she took you into her arms, “This little princess has a swimming lesson, and I bet she can’t wait to learn, can you, sweetie?” Jessica started tickling you, and you started laughing uncontrollably, “Do you wanna learn how to swim? Do you, do you, do you?”

Luna started giggling, “Be careful; I don’t want her to wet her swim diaper before we even start.”

“Sorry,” Jessica remarked as she put you on the ground, and Luna took your hand, “Now you two have fun and be safe.”

“We will,” Luna promised as she led you to the benches, “Arms up,” she ordered.

“How come?” You ask.

“Come on, Lana,” Luna put her hands on her hips, “I know you don’t like them, but you need your floaties in the pool until you learn how to swim.” Your sister held up a pair of water wings.

“No,” you stubbornly respond.

“Don’t you want to learn how to swim like me and my friends? I’d bet they’d even let you on the team if you were good enough,” Luna argued.

“No,” you repeat as you cross your arms.

“Okay,” Luna said with a grin, “Hey Lana, do you know what sound a sheep makes?”

“Baaa,” you answer, almost feeling compelled to do so.

“Good,” Luna praised, “Now, can you tell me what sound a lion makes?”

“Rawwar!” You roar.

“Wow,” Luna smiled, “You make a good lion Lana. Now can you show me what a lion looks like before they pounce?”

You hold up your arms and start to roar again, but Luna quickly puts the water wings on you, “Hey, you tricked me!”

“You’ll thank me later,” Luna promised, “Now come on
“You’ll thank me later,” Luna promised, “Now, come on.” Luna led you forward. You were ashamed of yourself; had you actually fallen for your sister’s childish trick? You noticed that Luna wasn’t leading you to the actual pool but the pool-like area for toddlers that never went over three feet of water but featured geysers and water-themed contraptions…

You have the following choices:

1. Follow Luna to swim lessons
