They continue to make changes, For Sonic, they began to increase and strengthen the heart to pump blood faster, It won't do much but it will make able to accelerate faster and even start running even faster able to break the sound barrier in very short time, They refined the muscles and bone density; effectively giving him increased strength without making it noticeable at first glance.
Their hearing was also increased, becoming sensitive and sharped than ever before, the hedgehog was already reactive with his super speed so they let it out.
For Tails, They figured out that he was a more of a support role and decided to make more dexterous and reactive like Sonic but was impossible for him to be faster like the hedgehog he considers as a brother, likewise, increased bone density and refine muscle tissue to be stronger than average without any outside altering appearance.
They altered his brain capacity and information processing and neurons stimulation, subsequently making him gradually smarter: From having a 200 IQ to 400 and up 600 and Eidetic memory as an addition. Noting that the fox had the ability to use its own tails as rotors to hover or fly, They modified the muscles and bones of the tails to make him be able to use his appendages for much longer period of time.
As for the other organs such the Liver had turned redundant due to the stomach now able to do its multiple functions using a grown, additional mini organ on it that could be able to handle all the Liver's function but it can be used by the worms to make now cocktails, grow servant organism and handle chemistry within the body.
Besides, Redundancies are good.
Kidneys were changed to filter blood more efficiently without making any waste, as a result, the bladder is now too redundant but will be also used as a third incubator for growing population, leaving the reproductive systems be used almost exclusively for the hosts' reproduction.
For being a Psychic Race, the worms shared and communicate the information with each other despite being in multiple places or hosts with this information shared, Those within the testicles began to alter the genetic information of their hosts so all their changes can be transmitted and copy to their offsprings.
Speaking of genetics, the sperm cells were radically changed, the worms eat on the cellular level and thus feeds on cells like the sperm but to make sure their hosts still reproduce; the tubules and epididymis is now able to produce and churn billions in seconds, each little sperm was now a complex, semi-intelligent organism, highly virile and resilient and contains much more information other than just the genetical material of the hosts but also the changes of the worms made in their sires. Should conception happens the mother will be able to tell the state of the offsprings in real time and if a colony of worms is transferred there, heavy alteration of the womb could be possible and even give the mother total control of the organ able to even stop or accelerate gestation of the growing offsprings.
All of this is theoretical but consensus had been reached of this being completely entirely possible with the only requirement being the mating and successful impregnation of a female.
Now that the necessary changes had been made, the worms within the testicles, prostates, and bladder had started their own reproduction exchanging fluids but also bathing the testicular flesh with mucus causing the organ to churn and pulse, producing trillions of high-quality sperm, the worm in the testes enjoyed the warm emanating from the walls and the fluids it was producing perfect for incubation, they had eaten the excess of sperm surrounding them while also doing their mating exchange, excreting eggs and attaching them to the pulsing flesh but caused an effect in the testicles.
