You press the button, then quickly go for the 'Body' option, and say "Confirm"... only to end up on your computer watching Youtube. Looking down, however, you were surprised to see that your body... was still the same. You must have hit the 'Life' option again by mistake, setting things back to normal. You looked out at the hallway, and see your mother, apparently a bit confused but then surprised to see you looking at her.
"Oh, um, sorry, Michael," she said, reaching to close the door. "I forgot what I was doing for a second..." Again, you instinctively hit the button to not lose her, her apparently still not noticing the remote as you aim to swap with her again as thoughts went through your head. You'd swapped in and out of your mother's life already, but you didn't get to really 'play the role' and were curious about it - though that wasn't the only thing you could swap with her. You did come for her body, after all, but you didn't have to take her body and life at once - though on the other hand, there were plenty of options for individual parts that intrigued you, as well as possessions like clothes, and an option just labeled 'Possessions'. But in-between them, however, was various options for specific life aspects, like age, relationships, occupations, various preferences, interests, diet, and specific aspects of other options. Scrolling through the list, you felt like a kid in a candy store, but you figured you had enough time to try them all out.
