Chapter #3

An Unexpected Opportunity

    by: XerXert Author IconMail Icon
The door slid away from you in a swift way the same way a sliding door would. There on a pedestal was a gilded treasure and if you didn't look around well enough, you would've been unaware as to what power it truly held. Analyzing the pictures with ease, you deduce that it must be some kind of wish granting object. To make a wish you needed to hold your hands in opposing directions on the the top and bottom of the pyramid. As you looked closer at the object you realize that while it looks like a pyramid, the top and bottom were the exact same size.

Noting that your backpack wouldn't be able to comfortably hold the object you pick it up. The pedestal slowly sunk into the ground as it revealed another passageway that looked like it led back to the outside. Having no other real option (as the path behind you was kinda destroyed) you start your way through the tunnel. Now finally having time to think, you realize that this was nothing compared to what you've seen those pups handle. How did you make yourself believe that they wouldn't be able to help you?

"I wish I could make it up to Tracker," you stated,"He would've been able to save me a lot of days... and weeks." A dim light started to expel from the object in your hands as you realized what you had just said. Having dealt with temples before, you knew that you wouldn't be able to reverse the process so you just accepted it as the light engulfed your eyes.

The first feeling you felt was air rushing past you so fast that you couldn't even open your eyes. Not like you needed to anyway as you soon made contact with the ground and once you opened your eyes you realized it was far from normal. You examined the landscape a bit as looked forward and noticed that you were standing on metal, what you didn't noticed was that it was curved and you slipped off the surface. You felt a lot of pain and you knew you needed to examine yourself so you stood up. Once you did you didn't move for awhile as you were confused as to how you stood up at all. You looked up at the thing that you fell from and noticed it was a large metallic dog.

"How confusing, who would make such a thing?" The eyes of the machine blinked on as the head rotated to look at you. Coming to think of it, it very well could be a guard dog of some kind. You look away and mutter,"I should probably remember that for myself." You turned back only to realize that the dog just continued to stare at you.

"Hey, I'm not going to attack you or something. Do you SEE how small I Am?" The dog blinked a bit before barking at you and returning to it's previous position and turning dormant once more. Deciding to get away before the dog changed it's mind you begin to run down the hallway. When you reach the end you get into a dimly lit room with Tracker himself seemingly sleeping in the middle. It doesn't take long before you notice that you are tiny and try to wonder how the temple got this result from your wish. It didn't take to long after that to realize what the temple was implying for you to do as being tiny grants you an ability to get to places you couldn't before. However, you're curious at how you are going to even approach the situation.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Tracker Wakes Up By Himself

*Noteb*
2. You Wake Tracker Up

*Noteb*
3. You Begin To "Make It Up" To Tracker

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
