Mrs. Douglas was dropping Nathan off. She had to drive to a business meeting. Nathan was dressed in his usual blue shirt, shoes, and a clean diaper. His mom kept his shorts off so it was easier for her and her husband to check his diaper if it needed to be changed, and change it if that was the case. Since they started potty-training him, they also dressed him this way so he could easily take off his diaper if he needed to use the potty. Mrs. Douglas turned to Nathan.
"Bye-bye, Nathan. Mommy will be back soon. Be a good boy for the teachers, and use the potty if you have to go." Mrs. Douglas told Nathan.
"Okay, Mommy." Nathan told his mom, who kissed him before she left. Nathan began to feel lonely without his mother, so he decided to do something to take his mind off of her.
