Chandler went home and spruced himself up before his restaurant date with Jake Powers, to be honest he was kind of nervous for it he was scared that he was going to screw up and say something dumb like he usually did. But Jake really seemed to like him so it shouldn't be to bad. Chandler decided to just wear his work suit, it was presentable enough even if it was a little snug on him for now. But that shouldn't matter to much after all it still fit him pretty good.

Chandler waited outside of the the restaurant getting anxious he had been waiting outside for Jake for five minutes and there was no sign of him yet and he felt awkward just going in alone, he did say that it was his family's restaurant after all, what if they started asking him questions and he answered in the wrong way... no, it would be best to stay here till Jake got there. After another couple of minutes "Chandler!" was shouted out in the distance. As Chandler turned to where the voice was coming from he saw that it was Jake running towards him. As he finally cached up to Chandler, Jake caught his breath. Chandler guessed he wasn't much of a runner given he was kind of of chubby, though Chandler knew that he didn't have much room to talk either. "Sorry about the wait I just got caught up on something"
Chandler shrugged "Hey no biggie, were both here now so why don't we just go in" Chandler trying to usher them both into the restaurant his feet already hurting for standing around for too long.
"Of course!" Jake said as he ushered Chandler into the restaurant.
Chandler looked around seeing that while it was a restaurant it did have that diner like feel to is, booths and bar sets scattered across the building and the atmosphere had that retro feel and design to it. "Wow this place is amazing" Chandler said
Jake smiled. "Yes my family is pretty old school, though that's what makes it so unique plus my family makes the best food. The two of them didn't even need to be waited for a table, Jake simply lead Chandler to a more private section of the restaurant so they could be alone. It wasn't long after that took their seats that a waitress came to their table, though before anyone could speak Jake took control of the conversation. "We will take the cheese breadsticks for an appetizer first and then we will decided on meals thank you. The waitress simply bowed and left.
Chandler felt that was a little odd but then again Jake was taking care of paying so he won't complain.
Jake noticed Chandler's uneasiness, "Oh yes my family's cheese breadsticks one of our more popular items, I thought that would be a good appetizer to start off with.
"Sure, I'm sure whatever you're family whips up will be fantastic!" Chandler said.
