Artemis was a newborn baby boy, born to John and Candace, an incredibly wealthy couple who were incredibly happy to have their first baby. John and Candace had both agreed that they wanted Artemis to get everything he wanted, even in infancy. They had a lot of money to spend and had no idea what to do with it, so they decided to spend it on the whims of their infant son.
Artemis cried as babies typically do upon birth, but soon after he met his mother, he was happy and giggly. The birth went really well, so Candace was sent home within a day of having Artemis. Once everyone was home and settled, John and Candace were ready for Artemis's first meal at home. They figured that they should give Artemis various liquid foods to try and give him whatever his favorite was for food.
Soon, it was mealtime, and they had Artemis's crib by the table. John had prepared small amounts of various liquid and soft foods that babies could eat, and Candace was feeding Artemis small amounts of each food, seeing how he reacted and what he liked. Both parents got excited when they noticed Artemis reacting extremely positively to a particular food.
