It was half an hour since the final bell had rung and Brian and Brie were lounging outside the school, waiting for their parents to pick them up. The rich kids all had cars and the popular kids (who were, let’s be real, also mostly rich) grabbed rides with friends. Another year of budget cuts had left Brian and Brie without a bus to ride and walking home wasn’t terribly feasible.
Brian certainly didn’t mind this. This was the part of the day that he had Brie all to himself. No school bells to separate them. No tall jocks for Brie to quietly side-eye.
Definitely no Jillian. She had become a real piece-of-work since she got hot. Brie wasn’t the only one Jillian abandoned. She never tried to make up with Brian. She just used him as a punching bag. She loved pointing out how small Brian was and how...proportional that must’ve made him. Brian had been in the locker room. He certainly didn’t measure up to the bigger guys down there.
Brie turned around to fetch something from her bag and Brian snapped from his trance.
“You’ve got to see this book,” Brie said, her short brunette hair doing a small toss as she turned around to retrieve the book. “It’s so old and ornate. Weighs a ton. I found it lying on the ground outside the track”
“Woah,” Brian replied, “this looks like something from a crypt. Don’t read it aloud or you’ll unleash the Mummy’s Curse”.
Brian flipped through the pages but was compelled towards the first story. “The Couple that Grows Together, Stays Together.” There was so much of that sentiment that he wished could be true between him and Brie.
“Let’s read this one!” Brie said as she began to read aloud.
Once upon a time, there was a boy and a girl. They would grow up to be the sexiest people alive.
“Not exactly Shakespeare,” Brian joked. The language seemed quite strange for such a old book. Far too modern and sensual for such an old book.
The clearly erotic novel didn’t bother of the two of them. They laughed through it all. They took turns reading the next several pages, as they learned about the growing, beautiful voluptuous woman and the man who was in love with her. As if the heavens commanded it, he began to grow more muscular, grow a cock fit for a horse, grow talle...
BEEP! BEEP
The two of them looked up to see Brian’s mom sitting in the parking lot.
“Well, that’s my ride. I’ll see you tomorrow!” Brian said as he grabbed his things.
“We’ve only got a few more pages in the story,” Brie protested. “You’ve got to finish it with me!
“I guess...”
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
Brian shrugged and went for the car. Brie sat alone and finished the story.
