For the past few weeks, you've been getting strange letters in the mailbox. Threatening your family in weird and disturbing ways. You don't know who's been doing it and your mother and step-father have even taken this to the police, who haven't been able to do anything about it.
You wished your mother never married your step-father as all it has seemed to have done is put a target on your back. He ran a very popular church, who had made many enemies and there were those inside the church that weren't happy with him marrying your mother. They also weren't fond of you as you didn't attend the services anymore.
You saw a squad car parked out front when you got home, this wasn't the first time, but it was still unusual. You entered the house and went to the living room, where everyone was waiting with two officers. It seemed like you got another note.
'Tonight's the night, on the stroke of midnight you'll know our wrath.' The note, like always, was made up off news paper clippings, making them hard to trace.
"This is a serious threat to my family, officer!" Your step-dad pointed harshly on the note. "We've been getting these things for a month now, why haven't you done anything about it?"
"We've been trying pastor, may I suggest you stay in a motel tonight?" The officer asked.
"Uh-uh, no way. This is my home, I'm not leaving it over some heathen who has a grudge with us," he flatly refused the idea.
"Okay sir, I understand. We'll have a patrol car stationed on the street if that's better," the officer suggested.
"That's better. Now if you don't mind, I'll like it if you stepped outside the house so we can have some peace and quiet.
The officers left as instructed but stayed nearby. You and your family carried on with the rest of the day as if nothing happened. Stacy and Jenna made dinner, as your father expected, he was old fashioned like that. He even got Jenna to set the table, like always. You sat down at the table and held hands, you said grace as you did every night and then you were excused for the evening.
You were playing some violent video games as usual, ready to alt tab at a moment's notice. Your step-father didn't like violent games and he had threatened to donate your computer if he caught you playing them again.
It was almost midnight now and you laid in bed, thinking about the note. What did it mean? What was going to happen? The clock struck twelve and you felt something strange happen to your body....
