“Oh.” Stacy took note of a group of three girls gathering around the volleyball court looking to start up a game. She could tell that they were a little upset that their game was missing one last team member. Though Stacy was not really an athletic girl, she still enjoyed being outside and having some fun from time to time. She could also be painfully introverted, but found the act of playing a sport a good channel to let out her usually bottled up emotions.
“Looking at those volleyball girls?” You asked your giantess sister, causing her head to tilt towards you.
“Yeah. I think I might join in.” She nodded. “Of course, I’ll let you sit on the sidelines and watch. It would be way too dangerous for you to be anywhere near the court.”
“Thanks Stacy, I was thinking the same thing.” You smiled in appreciation, and Stacy returned your smile with one of her own. Gently strolling across the sandy beach, Stacy waved to the three girls as she approached, signaling her arrival.
“Hey! Can I join you three?” Stacy asked, her voice dropping to a low whisper as she was faced with communication with strangers. Almost unconsciously, your titanic sister drew her body a little tighter, shrinking back from the three girls.
The lead girl flashed a brilliant smile that sent a small flutter through Stacy’s heart. “Are ya kiddin’? Of course! We’d love to have ya in! You can join my team!”
“R-really? Th-thanks…thank you.” Stacy stammered, stepping towards the girl who had welcomed her with open arms.
The girl was tall, taller than Stacy, with long red hair and similarly bright red eyes. Her skin was smooth and tanned, her figure the perfect image of a toned and fit athlete. She was wearing a formfitting and revealing yet still comfortable two-piece red bikini. Stacy struggled to make her staring as inconspicuous as possible.
“My name’s Scarlet, which is a bit on the nose, huh?. Ya know, on account of the hair and eyes.” Scarlet gestured to herself. “Oh, and the bikini too, I guess.”
“Hi Sc-Scarlet. I’m Stacy.” Stacy meekly laughed.
“Stacy, huh? Cute name!” Scarlet grinned in a friendly manner, and turned towards the other two girls, missing Stacy’s blush. “This is Ariel and Iman. They’ll be our opponents for the first match, but we might switch up the teams later on, depending on how long we play for.” Ariel was a petite girl with short black hair and a fiercely determined look in her eyes, while Iman was a busty girl with curly brown hair and a cheerful grin.
Ariel and Iman exchanged short greetings with Stacy before taking up positions on the other side of the net. Scarlet signaled Stacy to get ready, as she herself grabbed the volleyball. Stacy suddenly remembered the tiny little person sitting on her shoulder, and quickly rushed over to a bench by the side of the court. Delicately, she placed you down on the bench, then leaned towards you.
“Enjoy the match Sammy. I hope this isn’t too boring for you.” She winced, looking at you inquisitively.
“Nah. It’s fine Stacy. Have fun!” You replied, shrugging your shoulders. In your often cruel life, anytime you weren’t being crushed, smashed, or flattened was a good time. Besides, you couldn’t complain about watching three attractive girls (your sister not included for obvious reasons) playing volleyball right before your eyes. You were a straight, single guy after all.
Stacy returned to her spot and Scarlet served the ball, beginning to game. The volleyball sailed towards Ariel, who deflected it back to Iman. Iman jumped in the air and slammed the volleyball towards Stacy, executing a perfect spike. Stacy attempted to block the spike, but fumbled. The volleyball bounced off of her elbow and flew over to the right and off the court.
You smiled naively at your sister’s fumble, until you realized the volleyball was flying right towards you. It’s shadow grew bigger and bigger, and you screamed at the incoming danger. It was far too late to avoid the unfortunate twist of fate though, and the volleyball slammed down onto your body, the force of the impact more than enough to squash you flat.
The volleyball’s momentum carried it off of the bench, but the damage had been done. Your tiny body stuck to the hot, rubbery surface like glue, and you found yourself rolling away with the ball. The volleyball bounced along the sand before coming to a stop, your body crushed repeatedly until finally stopping, the ball pressing you down into the sand with no chance to reform.
Flustered beyond belief, Stacy ran over and retrieved the ball, bringing it back over to the court, oblivious to her tiny brother stuck like a sticker to the underside of the ball. She was far too embarrassed to draw any connections to the ball hitting the bench where she had placed you down just minutes ago.
"Hey girl, it’s cool.” Scarlet rubbed Stacy’s shoulder. “We’re just getting’ warmed up, yeah? Try serving it, yeah?”
“O-okay…Scarlet.” Stacy nodded, bending her knees and moving into a position to serve the volleyball. She brought her fist back, preparing to slam it forward into the volleyball, coincidentally at the exact spot her poor little brother was helplessly flattened.
Though the plan had been for you to simply watch happily from the sidelines, fate had dragged you into this game kicking and screaming. Now, you were a part of this game whether you liked it or not. As Stacy’s fist swung towards you, you knew deep down that the nightmarish volleyball game was only beginning.
