All Tracy remembered before passing out was a quick jolt of pain and burning. When she woke up she was in an a hospital bed surrounded on all sides with flowers and get well soon signs. She lay there very confused for a few minutes trying to remember what all happened, piecing everything together slowly. "There was an accident right", she looked at her arm and realized that other than the IV in her arm she was completely and totally fine.
"Oh my God Tracy your awake.", A woman cried. It was her mother followed by her father, a nurse, and a couple friends. Tracy sat up as they began to talk about the situation. "It's a miracle you only got knocked out we're still waiting on the concussion results, if they come back negative you should be good to go home tomorrow actually.", the nurse said.
Nancy was in the room, but said nothing. Her parents told Tracy that Nancy dragged her out of the room after the accident, a small fire broke out. Tracy thanked her, but in her mind all she could think about was that Nancy had ran and hid before she'd helped.
Tracy arrived at home the next evening and went straight to her room. She stood up by her dresser mirror for several minutes just looking at herself. It wasn't right there was an explosion, she'd felt pain everywhere but she was fine. She thought around in circles for awhile before finally loosing it. She griped the side of the dresser more and more tightly. She was the queen of the school, a person that was above everyone, and Nancy just left her to die. "Moving my body after I should already be dead isn't worthy of my praise!" She yelled through gritted teeth trying to keep her parents from hearing her. As she did the ends of her dresser snapped off in her hands. Tracy held the piece of wood in her hands and looked down at them in shock. She dropped them and looked at her hands as the shock wore off and she felt a slight bit of pain. In seconds the splinters that had been causing the pain healed right before her eyes.
Tracy smiled to herself as she realized what was happening. As a final test she walked over to her bed and with one hand picked up the bottom end and raised in up to waist level before lowering it. "I didn't feel any resistance at all." Any anger she felt was instantly gone as evil grin overtook her face. "I can't wait to go back to school."
"Welcome back Tracy!!!" "Glad you're back!!!" "We missed you Tracy!!!"
Tracy heard it all day, and she basked in the attention. Before she was who everyone looked up to, now she felt like she could do no wrong. It was up to the point now that Catherine didn't even try anything in secret. It was all fantastic, but it was hard for Tracy to get some privacy, so much so that she wasn't completely alone until late in the day. Fortunately she knew exactly where to find Nancy by that time.
Nancy was alone in the library. People treated her like a hero, but it was obvious that she was traumatized by the event, and people let her have her space. She had lost her desire for science, and was retreating to the world of novels to keep herself from facing what happened, something she used to do when she was bullied.
"Nancy just the girl I've been looking for!" Tracy said with her usual winning smile.
Nancy looked up from her book and looked like she was about to cry. "Tracy I'm... I'm..."
"Oh don't be like that Nancy." Tracy said.
"My experiment it could have... you could have..."
"Oh that!", she interrupted. "I didn't say anything to anyone about that."
Nancy's expression softened a bit. "Thank you", she said.
"Come with me Nancy I have something I need to show you." Tracy said. Nancy finished reading her page and closed the book. She followed behind for several minutes to the other side of the school. They passed several signs wishing Tracy well with signatures all over them and others welcoming her back. Finally she stopped at a specific locker and looked around making sure no one could over hear them, which was helped by the fact everyone was still in class.
"I have something to show you Nancy, something that stays between us", Tracy said the smile never leaving her face unnerving Nancy a bit at this point. "This is Catherine's locker", Tracy said placing her hand on it. "Why did we come to her locker?" Nancy asked.
"Simple turns out I wasn't completely unscathed by the accident, and I wanted to show you.... This!" She said before pushing on the locker door. It creaked, folded, and twisted as she pushed second by second offering no resistance as Tracy's smile turned almost demonic.
Nancy dropped her book in total shock. She wanted to scream, but Tracy motioned shushing her kept her from doing so. "Tracy this isn't right it's not natural it's...."
"It's all your fault!" Tracy said. "See not only did you cause the accident by doing that experiment in the first place, but maybe if you had tried to save me instead of hiding like a coward I'd still be normal."
Nancy mouthed a reply but no words came. She came to the realize the gravity of the situation. She'd been using chemicals that could get her arrested especially since she brought them to school. Tracy was firing a shot across the bow, "You squeal on me and I squeal on you." The difference is Tracy could avoid any real consequences. Not to mention what she could physically do to her right now. "I... I understand" Nancy said as she picked up her book and walked away. "Dear god I've created a Monster" she thought to herself.
Tracy took one last look at the mangled steel locker and smiled a genuine real smug smile. "I'm untouchable." She thought before leaving to avoid blame. Catherine wouldn't be able to get anything out of her locker again, she would have been satisfied with something like this before. But now she was beyond a simple high school girl trying to maintain her status, she was a queen and rules didn't apply to her anymore.
Choice 1: Tracy makes people pay. No slight is too small, and as scary as she is, her powers are only just beginning to manifest.
Choice 2: Someone oversaw the whole thing and they try to blackmail Tracy.... into dating him!
