Alice, now a disembodied head with no ability to move herself at all, lies alone in her own room.
*sigh* "Well I guess I can't do anything right now but lie here." And that she did, Alice laid there for what seemed like forever staring at her motionless, headless body. She made attempts to call out to it in hopes that somehow she would regain control or it respond somehow. But even then she knew it was pointless.
"How am I even alive right now? Shouldn't I be dead? There's no blood on my neck, it's just skin."
With all the waiting and the existential crisis. she began to think how this could've happened. She remembered the feeling the numbness as soon as she got home from the market, but nothing came to her mind as to what could've caused this in her own home. Then she thought that perhaps it something at the market. But all she could remember doing was sprawling around the kiosks and shops that were open. "Maybe it was something I touched or come into contact with? Or maybe..." Alice then began to remember that old woman she saw last, and although she didn't see her for long, something did feel a little off from her. "Ugh who am I kidding, I'm in no condition to look for answers."
Hours pass as she keeps thinking to herself about her condition and eventually falls asleep. It's now, 9:30pm. Alice is then abruptly woken as she hear's a knocking at her door followed by a familiar voice.
