Yes, he saw angela and took a closer look

Christian leaned forward in his bed, preparing to get up. He was very frustrated with his device, and needed to do something to clear his head. Plus, he realized that his family members would probably start filtering into the house soon, and it may not be a good idea to test the device and risk shrinking his mom or sisters when they arrived.

As he sat up, Christian casually glanced down at his bare foot. Something unusual caught his eye when he did this though. On his little toe he saw a strange looking speck that was moving, about the size of one millimeter tall. “Wait, what,” he said. Christian licked his finger and began to lower it down towards the speck on his toe.

Down on her boyfriends massive toe, Angela was waving her arms around like an insane woman She was relieved when her boyfriend began to lower his finger down, and brought her up to his face.

Christian reaches for a magnifying glass wHigh he kept in his drawer. “Alright, let’s take a look,” he said to himself. Examining the speck on his finger, his jaw dropped. This was an actual tiny person! His machine worked! After a few more seconds of looking, it all began to dawn on him.

“HOLY SHIT! ANGELA?!” He shouted, causing the tiny woman to cover her ears. “Oh my god, sorry,” he whispered. It took several minutes but Christian managed to explain to his shrunken lover what exactly happened and why she shrunk. Angela was very confused and normally would’ve been super pissed at him, but she did come into the house uninvited.

“So what am I gonna do with you now,” Christian said. Angela was a little nervous. There was something about the tone of his voice which just didn’t seem right to her. Christian made up his mind. He was going to....
