she puts it on, unwittingly activating the curse

“Hmm. No signs of damages or previous fingerprints. That means Cooper isn’t here yet. In that case I better find a good place to keep this.” Just as she was about to pocket the necklace, the fox remembered something: Sly was always good at picking someone’s pockets. So if she placed the necklace there, then chances are that Sly could easily do the same with her.

“...Hmph! Nice try Cooper. But I’m going to let you get the upper hand this time.” Thinking again, Carmelita rubbed a hand to her neck before finally coming up with an idea. “Let’s see you try to snatch it from off my neck raccoon...” Not even hesitating, Carmelita slid the necklace over her head and smirked as it hung off her neck. “Heh heh. Perfect... Now to wait for Sly...”

The fox then walked away from the display case, however as she made her way down the hall, the gem in the necklace faintly began to glow. With each step Carmelita began to feel a bit strange as the glow soon dimmed down. “Hnngh... weird... why do I suddenly feel so... odd?” She asked herself as she began to feel a strange tingling sensation...
