Mick had always been intrigued by mythologies and strange artifacts related to the many stories. Recently, through an online auction, he managed to acquire one such artifacts, "The staff of Tyche", which was said to be cursed. Because of this, nobody knows exactly what it does because no one actually ever came into direct contact with it, it was sort of forgotten.
Until now, it had been held for showcases but since it didn't really draw any attention whatsoever they decided to auction it off and there really wasn't all that much competition. Mick acquired the item and when it arrived, it was hilariously "safely" packed to prevent it from doing anything at all. Mick considered this nothing but dumb superstition and unpacked the staff, holding it firmly in his hand as his vision faded to black.
"Mortal, listen closely. You now hold the staff of Tyche and you are it's new master. Many think this item is cursed, but this could not be further from the truth. If you even want to experience some parts of others, let them hold on the staff alongside you, but beware, you will have no control over the quantity nor the targets selected, the staff will do this for you. Use with care." He heard a female voice call out to him as he was thrust back into reality.
"Okay, so, if I had to guess, if I let someone else hold onto this staff while I am holding it as well, the staff will randomly swap any number of things between us?" Mick thought to himself. "Then this really is down to pure chance if the results are any good I guess and of course I have terrible luck, the perfect thing for me to find." Mick jokingly mocked himself as he inspected the staff thinking of anything he might want to test it with.
Author's note:
The staff, whenever two people are holding it, randomly swaps any number of equal traits, legs for legs, arms for arms, pants for pants etc. Both will always be aware, but no one else and there is no way to completely reverse the swaps, but you can of course choose to put your fate in the staff again and again should you desire.
