"Alright everyone,control your appetites,I'll answer any questions you may have." Elena said aloud. She seemed to want to add in the words "we are not children" but left it out in case her bosses overheard. The group all spanned out and Elena occasionally walked over to someone's waving hand.
Charlotte occupied herself by going over to the grove It was if someone took the entire world's fruit supply and made an orchard for them.While there were only one bush,tree,or fern for each fruit, all of them seemed to be ready to harvest. But the fruits that were on the greenery shined a little, as if they were covered in sugar.
"Is this a diorama? Some sort of artist work" Charlotte thought. "Does it matter though, i'm going to get so many hits, oh wait."
"Excuse me, Miss Elena?" The tour guide walked over to the Instagram e-celeb. Charlotte pointed a thumb at the area. "Why are the fruits all shiny? Are they fake?"
"Oh no dear, they are completely edible. These are our 'Candy Fruties' specially made and all around great. Actual fruits that taste much sweeter than their mundane counterparts." Elena explained. "Our eggheads did their best to make a special genetically modified plant that not only mimics all fruit bearing flora, but give each and everyone of them this luxurious gleam. And not only that, but you can eat the skin as well!"
Elena smiled at Charlotte.
"So I can just." Charlotte began to reach over to grab a fruit, Elena interrupted this action with a quick 'tsk' from her mouth.
"No, no, dear. If you want to eat some you'll have to give me a few moments to call in my workers. They'll prepare something quite delectable, but never eat a fruit straight from the branch."
Charlotte nodded and complied, Elena smiled at the girl and quickly made a call to someone, turning her back on Megan as she took the call. Charlotte watched for a few moments until she looked back at the enticing fruit.
"What harm can one fruit do to me? She already said its edible."
And with that, Charlotte picked what she'd stuff into her mouth...
