"Every woman should be able to follow her dreams no matter what." says the judge. "While I am tempted to rule in your favor, this is a court of law and the defendant must present his case."

The judge turns her attention to you.

"Your step-daughter makes a good case for herself, sir. You should be honored at the possibility of helping her go to college to fulfill her dreams and ambitions. Nonetheless, in the interest of fairness I will now hear your side. Just to warn you, if I don't like your tone I will immediately rule against you, is that clear?"

"Y-yes your honor" you say, nervously.

"Very well, proceed."
