"Maybe we can go through the roof!" Stinky replied. Sam raised an eyebrow. "The roof? How do you expect us to get up there?" Stinky raised an eyebrow back. "Wait, you don't know?"
Sam shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. Stinky continued, "There's a ladder on the side of the school that goes right up to the roof. Y'know the guy who wears the jumpsuit, with all the tools? I've seen him use it to get up there. Probably to fix whatever's up there." Sam looked up towards the school's roof, silent for a few seconds. "Have you used the ladder?" He asked, looking back at her. "Is there a door up there that leads into the school?" Stinky shrugged. "I dunno - but hey, it's worth a shot!"
"Well, alright - you said it's on the side of the school? You should lead the way." Stinky gave Sam a wink and exclaimed, "You got it! Follow me!"

Time: 7:38 AM
Stinky and Sam had arrived at the ladder located on the east side of the school - it led straight up to the roof of the building. "Here it is!" said Stinky. Sam scanned the ladder up and down, then replied, "Now let's just hope that there's a door up there." He then shifted his gaze towards Stinky. "Alright, you wanna go first?" Stinky looked back at Sam with a confused look on her face.
"You mean you want to be below me and my gassy butt?" she said with a chuckle. Sam gave her a wry smile and replied, "OK, yeah, you got a point. Alright, I'll go first." Sam stepped towards the ladder and started making his way up, step by step. After he got a few feet off the ground, Stinky followed suit. As they made their way up the ladder, Sam shouted down at Stinky, "Well, if there isn't a door up here, we'll have to think of something else."
"Got any ideas?" Stinky shouted back. "Well, maybe there's an unlocked door somewhere - it's not like anybody ever tries to breaks into a school." Stinky laughed. "Yeah, that would explain how whatever-it-was got in through the front door. I'm gonna feel real stupid if it was just open this whole time."
"Let's just take it one step at a time," Sam said, reaching the top of the ladder. He pulled himself up and after he stood straight up, he let out an audible gasp, loud enough for Stinky to hear. She stopped climbing the ladder for a moment and asked, "Sam, what is it?" Sam didn't respond at first, so Stinky asked again, "Sam? What's up there?" Sam finally responded with, "You're gonna wanna see this, Lulu."
Stinky paused after hearing the serious tone in Sam's voice, then proceeded to climbing up the ladder again. Once she made it to the top, before she pulled herself up, she poked her head over the edge and saw Sam, just standing in place. "Psst, Sam!" she whispered towards him. Sam looked back and then motioned his hand towards himself. Whatever he saw was blocked from Stinky's perspective, as there was a doorway that led into the rest of the school below. Stinky's hunch was correct, and feeling proud of herself, she pulled herself up as she said, "Y'see, I told ya there'd be a door up here--" and just as she had finished her thought, she stood next to Sam and saw the thing that made him gasp.
It was:
