Stinky ultimately decided on the game store, which was called Rosie's Gamer-ama Dama. An odd name for a store, but memorable and rolled off the tongue almost as it were the lyric to a song. Rosie's store was neatly nestled between a laundromat on the right and a Thai restaurant on the left. Right next to the front door was a folding sign that said "WELCOME!" in big green and purple letters, and the sign above the entrance was an arching banner that displayed the store's name proudly in the same purple and green. For such a small store, it stood out just for how extravagant it seemed to be from the outside.
Wouldn't hurt to check out what Rosie's got today, Stinky thought to herself as she made her way through the front door.
Inside the store was a single large room decorated with shelves full of retro games, ranging NES to GameCube and PS2. There was even a corner of the store dedicated to a small selection of Atari cartridges. While most of the shelves were on the walls, there were a couple on the floor separated by a few feet, acting almost as mini-aisles. Each shelf was labelled with what console each of them was for, and the store also had a wide variety of other accessories on display, from controllers to consoles and everything else a gamer would need to fully get into their games.
Stinky was greeted with a very cheerful "Welcome to our fantastic Gamer-ama Dama!" from the woman behind the front desk. That woman was Rosie herself - a woman in her late 20s who was the owner of the store, and had been for the past few years. She was the founder, and ran it with two other people, those being her husband and a young man named Duncan. Rosie herself was a woman of relatively average height for her age, and sported long light-brown hair that went down as far as the base of her neck. She had bright pink eyes, likely due to colored contacts, and a welcoming, laid-back resting face. Her outfit was a purple lone-sleeved button-up coupled with a name-tag displaying her name, with dark-green pants and matching purple shoes. They matched the colors featured on the outside of the store, so it was clear that those were the colors of choice for this particular store.
"Oh, hey Stinks!" Rosie added, once she saw who it was who walked in.
Stinky responded, "Hey Rose - how's it going so far?"
"Well, I think you'll be happy to hear that you're out very special 'first customer of the day!'" Rosie said with celebratory tone.
"Wait, really?" Stinky said with a surprised smile. "I'm really the first person here?"
"Absolutely! We only just opened about a half-hour ago, after all, so it makes sense."
"Oh yeah, that's right," Stinky realized. "It's still early - I totally forgot I farted myself awake."
Rosie laughed, "Pfft, sounds like something you would do!"
Stinky playfully sneered back at Rosie. "Y'know, ya ever considered opening later in the day?"
Rosie shrugged and replied, "Yeah yeah, I have. But to be honest, I don't mind working early - gives me something to do, and if I open early, that means I can close early too. So then I have the rest of the day to do whatever I want."
Rosie then leaned in a little and asked, "Say, since you're here, and nobody else is around, you wanna do our Trumpet's Greeting?"
Stinky smirked, "Of course! I'll count us down. On three, OK?"
Rosie nodded, and Stinky began her countdown.
"1... 2... 3!"
BRRRRAAAAAAAAPP!!
BRAAAaaaaappphhhtt!
And just as Stinky said three, both girls farted simultaneously, though Rosie's was slightly louder than Stinky's.
The two were both Stinkers, and felt the same way as each other in regards to their flatulence - they thought passing gas recreationally was fun and always liked to show off how gassy they could be. The Trumpet's Greeting, as Rosie called it, was something thew two would do if they were alone, without any customers around, as a sign of their friendship.
Stinky first came into the store when she was about 9 years old, along with her parents. The three of them were taking a shopping trip in the downtown area when they decided that to buy Stinky a video game. That's when they stumbled upon Rosie's Gamer-ama Dama and were pleasantly surprised at the selection they offered. Stinky grew up on older games, since they were generally cheaper to buy than new games were, fueling Stinky's fondness for old-school, retro video games.
About a year later, when Stinky was 10, her parents felt that she was old enough to go to the downtown on her own, so long as she stayed in the downtown area. It was then that she walked into Rosie's store and really started to get to know her better. After all, that was when Stinky learned that Rosie was also a Stinker just like her, and shortly thereafter, the two made the Trumpet's Greeting almost as if it were a secret handshake of sorts. Of course, Rosie tried not to make it a habit of farting in the store, or at least around customers, since she still had a business to run, and the smell would probably drive them away.
"Hey, I'm still here, y'know," said a man after he poked his head out from behind one of the shelves.
Rosie and Stinky turned to face the man, who was named Samuel, Rosie's husband - she called him Sammy for short. He was wearing the same purple and green uniform Rosie was, establishing that, despite how small it was, Rosie treated her store as legitimately as she could.
"Sammy, you know what I meant! I meant nobody that would mind a couple of girls having a gas!" Rosie answered.
"Ah, of course - my mistake, haha, "Sammy laughed. He then faced Stinky. "Hey Lulu - how are you this morning?"
"I'm good, Sammy," Stinky answered. "I was gonna check and see which games you guys had today." She looked around the store and asked, "Hey, where's Duncan?"
Rosie answered, "Oh he's in the back managing some of our stock - stuff we don't have room to put out here just yet, that sorta thing."
Stinky nodded and said, "I'll let you know if I find anything!"
With that, Stinky scanned the shelves and tried to spot anything that she thought looked fun or interesting.
After a few minutes looking around, Stinky eventually found a game called:
