"Well, good morning, Nora." A new voice said as it entered the room. Nora turned to look, and smiled as she saw who was walking in.
Julie Sutherlend was, like her, a very changed woman. But while Nora's pumpkin form was well known in the house as being the result of a curse, why Julie turned out as she did seemed to be a mystery. Only Julie herself knew what happened, and she didn't want to talk about it.
Whatever the case, Julie had undergone a peculiar transformation. Her skin had turned a deep shade of blue, and her body had swollen with blueberry juice. There were a few other woman who had undergone a similar kind of change in Great Tracts, but Julie's was unusual in that she never fully swelled. Instead of turning into a giant sphere, Julie simply looked like a 700 pound woman, but instead of fat, her body was packed with blueberry juice. She never swelled past 700 pounds, but she couldn't juice herself either. You could hear the blueberry juice in her sloshing when she walked, and she always smelled of blueberries.
"Mornin' to you to, Julie." Nora said. "Want some pancakes?"
"As long as the aren't blueberry." Julie replied. "I taste enough of that everyday."
Nora chuckled as Julie picked up a plate. It was sometimes a wonder that Julie could still walk on her own at her size. Then again, some wondered the same about Nora.
"So, you have any idea what the plans for today are?" Nora asked as she munched on her pancakes.
"Kim wants to try and fix up the boathouse, but she seems to be missing supplies. So someone has to go into town to grab them." Julie answered. "I'm going to be putting on makeup and heading. No offense, but it's easier for me to look like a normal fat girl then you."
"Oh, trust me, I'm well aware of that." Nora said. "So, any jobs for me?"
"Actually, it doesn't look like it. You can probably take the day off." Julie said.
That intrigued Nora. She usually didn't have the chance to take a day off. While it was tempting to just laze around in her room, Nora felt that she needed to at least try to keep herself occupied. She decided that if she was having the day off, she could...
