"Is this where we're suppose to meet?" Jak asked,

"I think so," you answer, as the two of you enter the capital's Merchants' Quarter.

You don't know Jak very well. He is a cleric, after all, recently ordained in the Temple of Relah (your practical course on theology defines Relah as a minor diety in the Domain of Light). Like you, Jak is a human male who recently graduated the Academy. You two have been hired to supplement the six warriors hired by an aspiring merchant who is taking his first caravan on the Vicuna Trail.

(The six warriors are all relative novices, having just graduated the Academy two years ago. All are male human polearm masters.)
