Leon had discovered that he had started in a town without a Pokémon Professor, differing ever so slightly from the typical game. Instead of being offered his first Pokémon, he had to go out and find one for himself. Honestly, this was pretty scary, as it was one thing to go off into the woods in a video game, another to do so in real life.
He tried to figure out how to do this without getting eaten or killed. Some townspeople gave him advice, but it was hard to approach any Pokémon. They usually scattered when he got close, or chased him away. More than once, he had to dodge fire, lightning, and water. He had just about given up and was resting under a tree eating some candies, when a small fox Pokemon showed up to see what he was eating.
A Vulpix, but not just any Vulpix. It was a pure white one, like snow. Leon know from the real world that it was an Alolan Vulpix, but this areas didn’t have snow, so he wasn’t sure why it was here. The small fox seemed interested in the candy, so of couse Leon had fed her. The Vulpix turned out to be female and alone. So she followed Leon home and eventually let him catch her.
They became inseparable.
A very polite and well behaved Pokémon, Snowy (Sue him, he liked the name.), was very shy around new people and would hang by Leon’s leg most of the time. She also slept on his bed every night. He didn’t might as she was adorable and a very reliable companion. Always there to comfort him, play with him, and just be the best friend she could be.
Eventually though, Leon got restless and the two of them decided to begin their Pokémon Journey.
“Looks like our adventure is about to begin, Snowy.” Leon told her, as Snowy trotted next to him.
“Vul, Vulpix!” She replied, bouncing around him in excitement.
