Leon walked down the road, and beside him was his starter.
A hoofed quadruped with long neck, white blaze on its muzzle, which ends in a round pink nose, had two horns with bulbous tips on top of its head, the front half was yellow with dark brown spots, while its back half was dark brown with yellow spots, many triangular pink spikes along the back. Basically, this Pokemon could be summed up as a small giraffe with a small round head at the end of its tail, which had yellow eyes and a mouth full of sharp teeth, plus spikes.
Leon smiled as his starter, a Girafarig that he named Cleo, trotted alongside him as walked down the road.
"Fa," said Cleo, sensing that Leon was looking.
"Wanna take a break?" asked Leon as he stopped, and his starter nodded eagerly. He reached into his pocket, and pulled out his phone to check the time, then he added, "Well, it's almost time for lunch anyway."
"Fa!" exclaimed Cleo happily, and nuzzled Leon.
Leon chuckled as he ran his free hand on his starter's long neck, then he looked around until he found a relatively empty spot for them to rest.
Cleo sensed Leon's thoughts, and turned around, to walk to the patch of grass that Leon found.
