Sofia sleepily brewed herself a cup of coffee and began sipping it, hoping to cure the slight hangover she was still feeling from last night. She looked at the clock on the wall and realized that the local morning news broadcast should be on right now. Watching the show was something Sofia did from time to time, mainly because it wasn't always just boring news as something the hosts would just discuss their lives. Also the hosts were super hot.
As Sofia went to her living room and went to pick up the remote, she could still feel something wasn't quite right. Was it harder to bend down?
At first Sofia wasn't sure if she had turned on the right channel. It felt more like a skit than an actual news report, as the news were talking about some "worldwide weight gain phenomenon", with videos and pictures of random overweight women on the screen.
"There have been even more reports of women gaining a large amount of weight over the six hour period yesterday. There still is no information on what the cause is, but officials are looking into possible virus outbreaks or the use of biological weapons. Authorities recommend anyone effected to contact their doctors, as it is still uncertain how this rapid change could effect individuals health."
The news footage then changed to footage of the studio Sofia had used to seeing for this show. But as the camera panned to the second news anchor, Roxanne Hawks, it became clear to Sofia that this might actually be a real news broadcast. Roxanne had been a skinny woman, with very generous breast and had always worn a very skin tight dress, but now the once sexy woman was sitting in the studio wearing baggy clothing and looking like she had an additional 200 lbs on her frame.
"Is this real?" Sofia wondered as she looked at the bloated up news anchor talking on screen.
She then quickly turned her gaze towards her own body and nearly let out a scream of horror. In shock she dropped her cup of coffee on the ground, as she saw that her once slim abs had been replaced by a layer of fat.
Sofia then ran into her bathroom as fast as she could, panicking "This can't be happening!"
She looked in the mirror seeing her face all pudgy. "No, no."
She was so shaken she couldn't even imagine how much she could weight right now. Just few days ago when she had weighed herself she had been 112 lbs. How was it possible she had gotten fat so fast?
Sofia pulled out scale nervously and stepped on it.
She didn't even dare look down to see the numbers rising so she just closed her eyes and waited for the scale's robotic voice to read the number out loud.
Sofia felt anxious. "How could this be possible?"
"I have to work all this off"
"There's no way I can go to work looking like this"
Then there was a beep, and the scale began telling Sofia the truth she was afraid to hear:
"Your current weight...
