Chapter #5Shrinking Judy Hopps by: Ëtalfni   "Now then," said Stephanie as she had a thought. "You wanted a little revenge on a certain someone. Completely understandable. But what if I said that you could have a little revenge?"
"...I'm not sure I follow," admitted Bellwether.
"Have you ever heard of a shrinking potion then?"
Dawn huffed a laugh. "I mean, yeah. In make believe stories."
"Of course. But what if I could assure you that a shrinking potion is a very real thing?"
With that, Stephanie produced a small bottle and placed it gently in front of Bellwether. It had a swirling blue liquid in it that almost seemed to glitter as Stephanie gestured to it.
"Go on, have a lick. Just one a small dip."
Bellwether scowled but unpopped the cork on the bottle. She was already very much on the small side when it came to sheep, standing at about 2'6. So, the idea of getting even smaller than that wasn't exactly appealing to her, not that she actually believed this crazy goat for a minute. But still, she obeyed and dipped her hoof into the vial, collecting a bead of the blue liquid and licking it. It tasted like absolutely nothing though shortly after Bellwether swallowed, she was overcome by a strange sense of vertigo. That was strange. Was the counter a little higher than she remembered it being? And why did her clothes suddenly feel a little loose on her? That was when she realized that she had shrunk about an inch shorter down to 2'5.
"...No way," she said, looking down at the mysterious blue liquid.
"Way!" replied Stephanie. "Don't worry though. The effects wear off in about a day, maybe sooner. There's more too!"
Stephanie reached down under the counter and pulled out a few items of interest.
"There's this shrink ray," Stephanie explained, holding up a ray gun. "It fires a ray of light that shrinks any part of someone the longer they stay in it. Or if you can get the whole person in the beam, it will shrink them completely. Doesn't work on clothes though. And there's this!"
Stephanie held up what looked like a normal pair of watches.
"These watches sync up to each other. If you wear the control watch, you can control the other wearer's size with a push of a button. Oh! And check this out!"
Stephanie held up two sticks of chalk, one orange and one blue.
"This is portal chalk. Now, you're supposed to use it to create portals of equal size by drawing a pair of circles on any surface. But if I've discovered that if you make one circle smaller than the other, what passes through, depending on its direction, changes size! Neat, huh?"
Stephanie put all the items down on the counter and looked down at Bellwether.
"So, do any of these interest you? I can always look for more in the back."
Bellwether swallowed, still mentally adjusting to the fact that she had genuinely shrunk an inch in height. And now she was being offered to achieve her revenge on the rabbit that had ruined her life by means of bringing her down to size. Literally, in this case. The only question was how to go back it as an evil grin spread across Bellwether's face. The tool she most preferred to take care of Hopps would be to use...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
