Judy continued to look at the vial as she began to ponder what to do with it. And more importantly, who to test it out on as she walked back to the ZPD. There were plenty of targets in the precinct. Not that Judy wanted to trick any of them, but she was curious what might happen. It was all mysterious and it made her little bunny nose twitch. The first step, she supposed, was to acquire a drink which she could apply the vial's contents to.
Back in the ZPD, it was just ending lunch and most of the other officers were coming back from their meals to go about their day. All except one who was still busy pigging out in the cafeteria.
Judy entered the break room to find it empty save for one cheetah. Benjamin Clawhauser was chowing down on forgotten leftovers, having already finished his own meal. The ZPD knew him pretty much as the building's garbage disposal unit and frequency passed off all unwanted goods with their lunches to him. Clawhauser was happily chomping on some grapes when he saw Judy shuffle inside.
"Bo, bey Budy (Oh, hey Judy)," he said with cheeks full of fruit. "Bhat bou bot bhere (What you got there)?"
Judy took a moment to translate what he was saying to her before replying. "Oh, just a little...Something I picked up while taking a walk after lunch. See, there's this strange little store I wandered into...Stephanie's Shop. Ever hear of it?"
"Bope."
"The lady there was really nice and kind of mysterious. She got me to admit that I was trying to figure out a way to be in two places at once with my family. Then she took a prick of my finger and gave me this."
Judy held up the vial as Clawhauser swallowed.
"What is it?" he asked.
"I have absolutely no idea. Though apparently I'm supposed to put a drop of it into a drink and give it to someone. Of course, I don't want to be dishonest about spiking something potentially dangerous for someone..."
"Well, I'll be your test subject, Jude! Here, put a drop in my hot chocolate. We'll see what it does."
"Are you sure, Clawhauser? What if it's dangerous?"
"Oh, please. Me eating that cream cheese that was six months past expiration was dangerous! With the amount of junk I eat, I'm sure that nothing will go wrong. I insist, fill her up."
"Well, if you're sure..."
Clawhauser held out his mug so that Judy could reach it. She was very careful so that a single drop dripped from the the vial and into the drink as Clawhauser stirred it with his finger and took a sip.
"Mmm," he said. "Hey! This made it taste all...Flowery."
"Flowery?"
"Yeah, something springy. Like hyacinth or jasmine."
"Or lavender?" Judy asked. "They're my favorite."
"Yeah, that's it."
"How do you feel?"
"I know this is gonna sound weird, but I sort of feel energetic all of a sudden. Like I could get up and run a mile, even though I haven't done something like that since...Ever!"
As Clawhauser took another sip, Judy began to study him more closely. If he was enjoying the flavor of the drink, it couldn't be all that dangerous. Though she couldn't put her finger on it but there was something different about Clawhauser. Her eyes trailed up to his ears. Did they look...Bigger all of a sudden? Or taller, like they were standing straight up and stretching somehow.
Little did they know, the twinning potion was already working its effect on Clawhauser's body. As he continued downing the drink, he'd turn into...
