"I'm not some clingy star who can't accept when their popularity has ended," Gazelle tried to explain, "but I'd rather my stage career be the last thing to fade. I don't want to be one of those washed up celebrities' who appear on late night commercials desperately thing to seem relevant again."
"Well if you're looking for ways to make your act more interesting you might already be on the decline," Stephanie noted to which Gazelle looked deeply put out. "But," she added brightly, "I might have some options for you."
"However, you need to be serious with yourself. Are you doing this because you don't want to give up your fame or because you want to continue doing good with it?" Seeing her blank look the goat smiled, "I know about your philanthropic work. I doubt there are many animals in the city who haven't heard about your charity concerts, food drives, and regular visits and donations to children's hospitals and orphanages."
Gazelle gave a small smile. "I didn't have the best upbringing. So when I made it as a star I swore I would use that fame to do some good to those who needed it. I know a lot of animals just see me as some celebrity voicing their opinion or trying to be in the spotlight wherever possible. But I genuinely want to do as much good as possible. And the sales from regular concerts go a long way towards funding those gifts. If the sails figures don't add up I can't give that money where it's needed most. I need to draw in a crowd, and my manager says the sales are slipping."
"Alright alright," Stephanie replied, "I think I have some ideas about what might work..."
"Actually," Gazelle flushed, "I have a request in that regard. I had an idea but I'm not sure if it's possible. Or if it's too weird."
"Oh?" the goat shopkeep raised an eyebrow with a smile as she put her hands in her pockets and leaned in, "Do tell."
"Well... it's, um... There was that movie... A remake of an older movie and based on a kids book... That had this magical candy factory..."
"I think I know the one you mean," Stephanie's smile got a little wider, "Were you thinking of something from that?"
"...yes?" Gazelle looked a bit unsure now but pressed on, "That scene... with the gum. And the young girl turning blue and expanding... I've always enjoyed it. And recently I found out there's a large following of animals that enjoyed it as well..."
"And you want to experience it yourself?" Stephanie's smile had turned to a grin, "On stage?"
Gazelle couldn't even speak, her face flushed with embarrassment as she nodded.
"I think I might have something that could help with that. One moment," Stephanie retreated to the back room for a few minutes. When she returned she carried something small and unassuming. "Don't worry," she explained, "It'll refill each time you use it so you have an endless supply."
What did she have?
1.) A pack of gum. She explains that the gum will work just like in the movie. Once consumed she will grow when it gets to the juice. However she will need to be drained somehow or she will risk popping. Popping won't be fatal (rather like a a snake sheading an outer layer of skin), but it may leave lingering side effects.
2.) A small case of candy. Each piece will cause different expansive effects. Not just blueberry inflation, but chocolate and other candy fillings. However she warns that over doing the candies, taking more than one type at a time or two of the same type could cause her body to transform in unpredictable ways.
3.) A bottle of blueberry soda. It will be both fizzy and filling with just a few sips, but drinking the whole bottle or more than a bottle might result in too much carbonation. Gazelle would inflate like a balloon, perhaps even floating off.
4.) A vial of blue liquid. Drinking it down will cause Gazelle to become a blueberry whenever she desires and inflate with juice as much as she wants before willing herself to squeeze it all out. However the juice she leeks will be highly infectious. Unless diluted in something else, even a few drops will cause other animals to balloon up into berries. And unlike her they won't be able to juice themselves.
