The person who had grabbed his slice was his English teacher, Mr Kite. The man had a buzzcut and a bit of a round belly. He wore a nice shirt, formal pants, and an orange necktie. Mr Kite always had a nice smile but at Riley’s current size, it was suddenly intimidating.
The giant placed Riley’s ride on a paper plate. He then proceeded to place a larger slice next to it. The shrunken boy shuddered as his teacher started to move with his plate. Riley thought about his situation. At his height, he could easily be mistaken as a simple piece of meat, if he was even spotted. That, combined with the fact that his teacher wasn’t picky about his food, meant the odds weren’t in his favor. The giant soon sat down at a table and got ready to eat. His belly grumbled in anticipation, causing the boy to whimper a little.
“Mm, it looks tasty.” Mr Kite stated. He leaned in and took a whiff. Riley grabbed onto the cheese as he felt his body lifting up into the air. He screamed, afraid of ending up in the nose. “It smells good too.”
As Riley got his bearings, he looked up to see his teacher had started on the other slice first. The shrunken boy’s fear increased as the giant teeth ripped the piece apart like it was nothing. Mr Kite took his time enjoying his pizza before devouring it completely.
Due to his teacher’s sudden appearance before, Riley had stopped thinking straight. As the giant wiped his mouth with a napkin, it only just occurred to him to try and get off the slice of pizza. He no longer had time though as the man picked up his slice. Riley felt sick to his stomach, his teacher’s breath smelled bad and it was only going to get worse.
