Annalise carried Jack with her on her hand and the two conversed for the short walk over to an entryway to a different section of the water park. When they entered, Annalise spotted her friends right away and went to them. "Hey guys!" she called out. Three girls, all of them just as tan as Annalise, waved. "Hey, what's up," one of them said. "You finally got here, I'm surprised. Maybe you could send a postcard next time, let us know you'll have us wait for two calendar years," another sarcastically put. Annalise rolled her eyes. "Whatever, Brie, I promise you it was worth the wait, because I have someone I want you to meet". Prior to arriving in front of her friends, Annalise hid Jack behind her back. Since he was back there, Jack couldn't get her attention and let her know this probably wasn't a good idea.
Annalise brought Jack out from behind her and proudly held him in front of her friends. "Guys, this is Jack. I, uh, had a little encounter with him at the Rager slide and now we're friends," she blushed. The three girls were all in awe. "Whoa, what?" "Is he a real human?" "How come he's so small?" each of the three girls asked. "Yes, he's real. I don't know why he's so small, but he's really nice!". Jack meekly waved. "Hi there.." he said. The whole group laughed. "Come on, you weren't that shy with me, is something wrong?" Annalise spoke. Jack looked at her. "Um, no, no. I just wasn't expecting to be brought out like this". Annalise laughed. "Well, I told you I was going to take to to see my friends, you even agreed to go".
"Yeah, yeah that's true," Jack shrugged. Annalise's friends were still oohing and awing at him. "He is cute! Can I introduce myself?" the seemingly bubbliest of the three spoke. "Of course you can, it's not like you're introducing yourself to an animal," Annalise smiled. The girl approached Annalise and bent down a little to meet Jack's eye level. "Hi, I'm Aurora. It's really nice to meet you!". Jack met her gleaming eyes hand smiled. "Hi Aurora, I'm Jack. I really like your name, it's very pretty, it suits you". Aurora giggled, blushed, and stepped back. "Aw, aren't you the flatterer," she laughed. Another of Annalise's friends came up. "Hey, it's cool to see someone like you. I'm Jacqueline," the girl introduced. "Hi, it's cool to meet you too," Jack responded. Finally, the third, and sarcastic, one stepped up.
"*Snort* What a little shrimp you are, it's kind of funny. Name's Elizabeth, though, nice to meet you," she said as she poked Jack. He fell backwards, then lifted himself up. "Uh, nice to meet you too". He turned back to Annalise. "Hey, can we get going? I think it would be better if I found my other friends". Annalise looked at him. "Are you sure? You only just met my friends, I mean, we could have at least hung out for a minute". Jack sighed. "Okay, I'll stay for a bit. But in like ten or fifteen minutes, would you mind taking me back?".
"Sure, no problem," Annalise smiled. The group of girls then sat down at a table, and Annalise set Jack on the table.
For the time being, what does the group do?
