Thinking twice about shrinking around such a volatile concoction of family, Jack remains his normal size and hides away his shrink ray. A couple hours late, all the visitors arrive and the party begins.
For most of the party, Jack was bored. Everyone else was off convening with one another, and though he had sparse interactions with each of them, none of them really lasted long or meant that much to him. Even Maria and Leila stuck mainly to Izzy and Lucy, though Jack considered himself fortunate for that.
When things started to wind down, everyone settled in the living room and either watched a movie or played a board game. This went on for the next hour, then wrapped up and everyone went their separate ways. Without a doubt, the most boring dinner party he had ever taken part in, but it didn't do anything more than just make a boring night. After the visitors had left, Jack helped his mom along with his sisters clean up, grabbed dessert once that was finished, then brushed his teeth and went to bed. Little did he know, the next morning would make up for the inactivity of the dinner party...
The next morning, Jack awoke after hearing a thump and loud moaning. He grumbled to himself, figuring one of his sisters must have done something stupid, then got out of bed and went to check in on what was going on. In the hallway, he noticed his mom coming out of Izzy's room, closing the door behind her. "Hey, what's going on, Mom?" Jack asked, yawning. Carey gave her usual light smile and explained. "Well," she began, pulling out a device resembling Jack's, "I found this in your sister's room alongside her... magnificently different appearance." Jack was confused and nervous. He was afraid that Izzy might have stolen his shrink ray and managed to shrink herself. The thing was, though, the device in his mother's hand had some differences that distinguished it from his own. "What do you mean? Is Izzy okay?". Carey paused for a moment before chuckling and motioning Jack to go check out what had happened for himself. He slowly opened the door, then gasped and shut it when he caught a glimpse at what had happened.
"She's huge!" Jack scream whispered at his mom. "What the heck- how did she- what?!" Carey laughed at Jack's confusion. "Relax, dear, we'll figure it out. In the meantime, I've called a friend of mine who's a doctor to give her a checkup. I'm afraid that whenever she grew, Izzy bumped her head and might have given herself a concussion." Jack sighed. "Typical Izzy," he thought.
After finding out his middle sister was now about 15 feet tall and plenty wide, Jack was both fearful of her and humorous because of her situation. But his laughter would soon end and turn into grumbling once he got home from school.
When he and Lucy entered the house, their mom was in the kitchen waiting for them. "Hey, guys, I have some news. My friend gave Izzy a checkup and confirmed that she does indeed have a concussion. So, because of her size, we three will have to help her out a little bit. Right now, I have another friend working in the backyard to build her a shed to sleep in." Jack and Lucy each rolled their eyes and groaned. "You two, she's your sister," Carey put in, "and she would do the same for you if either of you when in her shoes." Jack and Lucy looked at each other snickering. They knew that was complete bologna. "Anyways, I have to go to work for a couple hours to make up for those I've lost being here. I expect you guys to look after Izzy in the meantime." Once again, the two siblings groaned, and Carey left.
