"Well that's the end bell" Ren says, cleaning up Nora's last rune
"And nobody blew up" Artemis adds, walking over to the 2 with Morgan already sitting on her hat "Want a lift to class, we're all taking Elemental magic... right?" the red head asks
Nora nods "Yep, I hear they got a new one this year, something about the last one going crazy or something" she shrugs, picking up a just barely protesting Ren and placing him beside Morgan on the Sunhat "Let's go"
A little later
"Hello class, welcome to Elemental magic" the woman in front of them was... dressed provocatively is the best description, her coat despite it's fur collar covered her nipples and was he only upper body coverage, her shorts were basically panties and then she wore thigh high boots and had a pig tattooed on the left side of her neck "My name is Merlin, we'll be beginning with Fire right from the get go"
"Isn't merlin an old white guy?"
"I heard he was a black guy"
The big boobied Merlin develops a tic on her forehead "We do not discuss this during class time, anyone who does becomes a test guinea pig!" as she yells that a pig jumps out of her bag
"You'll never take me alive whore! Piggie trot, Piggie trot. Piggie trot" the pig squeals as it runs out of the room
"Damn it Hawk. Okay... ah yes Miss Darhk, you have a question"
"Yes Miss Merlin, I heard people have elemental alignments, and so can only..."
Merlin chuckles "No dearie, those tests show you where you'll do best, what will come easiest and things like that. I don't use them, at least not for first years as I feel it encourages laziness when they are using elements they are weaker with. Everyone can use any kind of magic, it's just a matter of how much, how well and how much it takes from them" she explains, forming a fireball in one hand and a frost orb in the other, then dissipating them and forming a twister and a rock ball "I myself was never that good with holy magic, while Demon magic has become a little side project of mine"
"So what are we doing today?" Artemis asks, a little confused by what little of an explanation they were given
"It's simple in principle, you will all try to summon fire, no larger than what fits in your hands, don't want any of you kids roasting each other now do we" she teases, though she knows some of the giants would need less than a handful to turn the smaller students into charcoal. She then demonstrates with the click of the fingers 'Magical lighter' style, a ball of flames dancing above her open hand.
Nora was surprisingly good at the summoning part, it was just the keeping it in the form of a fireball that was the problem, making little spurts of flame which fade in seconds. Artemis on the other hand, was just making sparks, though maybe the finger snap was just the wrong method for the girl
Morgan managed to summon a little fireball, but then burnt himself when he tried to fist pump, yelping and being summoned by Merlin so she could check it wasn't anything serious. Ren was somewhere in the middle of everyone, able to make a couple small flames on his finger tips, the combined fire about 3/4 the size of one of his thumbs.
"Okay that is enough everyone, you mostly did better than I expected if I'm being honest, this year isn't full of morons" Merlin kind of compliments them, eh it was the thought that counts. She then dismisses everyone and they head for lunch
What happens now?
1) Lunch is served all together, so they are able to sit and eat together
2) Lunch is separated by size (For safety reasons), so the gang split up
3) Same as 2, but... Nora and Artemis keep Morgan and Ren with them, going to giant lunch with them as tag alongs indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
