You are Gwen:
You’re arguably the best player on the team with Sumi at a close second. Sure, you're a 21 year old virgin, have crippling anxiety, and your teammates are literally you're only friends that aren't related to you, BUT you love videogames and get to play them for a living not only as a big league competitive gamer, but also on your streaming channel, so you consider the trade off worth it. Besides, if you really wanted to be in a relationship you could probably just date one of them. Why not? they're all nice enough, and none of them are hideous or anything.
Despite your anxiety, you're actually a pretty happy girl. you like play videogames, workout on your bowflex, and you enjoy Writing stories and/or using programs like DAZ Studios & Source Film Maker to let your creativity flow.
The competition was simple, there's 5 members on each team, so each of you will be pared up against a member of the other team and play a series of 3 matches. the player to win 2 of the 3 will be declared the winner and the whole team will get a point.
The team with 3 out of 5 points will be the winning team and this years champions. With that of course comes cash, fames, and prizes from the competitions sponsors.
But what the media and the rest of the world isn't aware of is the little side bet you all have going.
you're opinion of this bet is actually surprisingly optimistic. this could be fun especially if you win.
Speaking of winning, the competition is currently officially at a draw. These Egde_Runners guys are no joke, and it shows. Tony and Sumi were able to win their matches, but Nick and Sam were outmatched leaving the whole thing on you now.
Your competitor is Randy Shepard, Zoey's baby brother and frankly, kind of a douche.
You try really hard to be nice, but he just wont stop with his blatant sexist remarks and unwanted advances. He's actually a really good looking guy, If he were nice at all you may even be flattered, but he's clearly too in love with himself to ever be anything that more that a trophy boyfriend to someone just as shallow and dead inside as him.
The game is Old-school Pokémon Stadium from the Nintendo 64. You're not a fan of the franchise, but you're familiar with the game. its a solid turn based strategy rpg system, and having played a lot of similar games growing up you're not too shook up.
The first round doesn't go so well. you're not a pokemon fan and it shows as you fumble a round a bit and make some questionable choices as to who you match up against whom, but despite the first round loss you're catching on.
suddenly all that time your brother spent telling you about the game and its characters is finally starting to pay off as you find your legs and just barely manage to win round 2.
The third round starts and you can tell Randy must not be a fan either because a lot of the things he's been doing wouldn't exactly fall under diamond tier in the actual pokemon leagues. this round is going to decide the entire competition and it feels like its literally all just hinging on witch one of you get lucky and fumbles into the win...
