With his clothes not having shrunk with him, that also meant that Spider-Man was without his web-shooters. He'd have to do this the old-fashioned way: clambering up the giant tree using his proportional agility and strength of a spider. Being spider-sized now, he guessed that just meant he had the power of a spider, so no actual, real super-powers to speak of.
"This sucks," Peter muttered to himself as he trudged through the forest of grass blades. "But, at least I still have my Spider-sense. A little forewarning of incoming feet or birds should even things out a little."
He reached the base of the tree - an American Elm - before jumping up and scaling its bark with the same ease he climbed skyscrapers. "Nothing to it," he told himself, "just like falling off a log."
A normal person may have been dizzied by the ascent, looking down from such a vast distance, but to Spider-Man it was just another Wednesday. He settled himself atop a branch, looking about for any possible sign of help.
There were his clothes, a good indicator of how far he'd had to travel. There the path, and on it several people. There were joggers around, running through the park for exercise. Someone had set up a little stand in preparation for a little busking. To the east, someone was laying out a picnic blanket. A park employee was emptying trash into a cart.
Any one of these strangers seemed a possible source of aid, but Spider-Man had the other option of climbing even higher in this tree, to see if he could leap from its top to the next in line, and so maybe make his way out of the park through the treetops, if he could only avoid the birds...
