"See? I told you I'd have it done in a day!" says Vivienne, holding her head proudly out in front of her body.
"Yeah, yeah," you reply. "This whole thing is your--hey, wait a second! Why do you still have control of your body? How come I didn't have control of mine? And why does Hope--"
"One at a time, please," Vivienne cuts in, moving her head back to a position under her arm. "The answer to all of those questions is that this is a different variant. Same basic effect, head removal, but with a few tweaks by yours truly that allow the target to retain control of their body. Useful for different purposes! And, as it turns out, all the ingredients for my version are very much in season right now, so I went ahead and made a lot. Like, months' worth, even if you used one dose every day."
"Alright, alright," you say, waving a hand. "Could you just give me some?"
"Hey, wait a second," says Hope.
You look at her, one eyebrow raised high. "Uh, you're not the person I expected to hear saying that."
"Well, I mean, obviously we need to take some," Hope says. "But we don't...necessarily need to return to normal right this second, do we?"
You blink slowly. "Are you implying what I think you are?"
"I'm not implying anything specific," Hope says. "But if we have this much head-detaching potion, we might as well put it to good use, right?"
"Ooh, I like the way you think," says Vivienne. "And as a matter of fact, since you're the one who only kind of had a body for most of yesterday, I think we should go with that!"
"Hmm," you say, giving it some thought. Really, having Hope's body doesn't bother you as much as the fact that Hope is only a passenger in her body, so detaching her would solve that problem. And Vivienne...that woman has a really nice one. You wouldn't mind giving your girlfriend that body. Or having it to yourself, if you're being honest. "Yeah, alright. I'm in."
"Woo!" Vivienne cheers, holding up her head like a pom-pom for emphasis. Hope giggles.
"Quick question first," you say. "If two people get the same body with this other potion, what happens then?"
"Well...turns out that was a kink I couldn't quite iron out," says Vivienne. "I'll keep working on it no matter which body you guys give me, but for right now, it's one head per body."
"Aw," says Hope. "I was almost hoping for something more extreme. But, if that's the case, I'll leave the details up to Tim."
"Really?" you say. "Even though you're the one who--"
"Yes, even though. You showed me just fine last night that it's not a bad idea to leave things to you."
Vivienne raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh, is that so, now? In that case, I'm quite on board."
Since the girls don't want everyone to go back to normal, at least not yet, that leaves you with only a few options.
