A knowledgeable observer would have been able to tell by the twitching of your tail that you were exasperated. Unfortunately, there were no nearby knowledgeable observers of Caitians. This was made obvious by the fact that you just had to gently but firmly turn down the third proposition by a (soon to be) fellow cadet this week.
Your name is M'Turr, and you are a female Caitian. You are a lithe yet bosomy young brunette, amazingly human in appearance, save for a few markings on your face and neck, the shape of your ears and, of course, your tail. You have found yourself the center of unwanted attention and speculation since reporting a week early for your first year at Starfleet Academy. It seems a few years ago, when the now famous Captain James T Kirk had been temporarily suspended, he had had an "encounter" with a pair of Caiian twins. Stories of this encounter had spread among the younger ranks of Starfleet personnel, with many believing that Caitian females were unusually promiscuous.
It reminded you of a story of an alien race who, prior to their first encounter with humans, based all their preconceptions of humanity on the intercepted transmissions of a pre-warp documentary entitled Keeping Up With the Kardashians. You might have found the whole thing humorous if you hadn't become the subject of this misconception.
Your twin sister (most Caitian births were either twins or triplets) who was on Earth attending a civilian learning institute, found the whole thing hilarious, shrugging it off.
