With a heavy sigh, you decide to trust Liza with your safety. As much as her confident bragging was annoying, you couldn’t really deny that she was smart. And if you did pretend to trust her, and then get caught trying to escape later, things could end up very badly. Besides, she’d probably guess you had that plan and give you just enough space to catch you in the act. There was no way you could beat this girl on your own. Might as well indulge her.
“Alright Liza, fine, you win. I’ll stay with you until someone figures out how to get me back to normal.”
Liza looked at you with an amused expression. “You said ‘someone’? As if anyone besides me could possibly figure this out for you. I’m the only hope you’ve got, not the best.”
Wow Liza was acting really arrogant. You felt like she normally acted like a sweet, humble girl but maybe you just hadn’t noticed before. After all, you were usually much bigger than her, and you could dismiss her words like you would a little sister. But now that you were small enough to be grabbed by her toes and fit in her shoe, her words had a lot more weight to them. You couldn’t wave them off as cute bragging anymore.
“I hope you aren’t thinking about just pretending to cooperate and then sneaking away later. I know you know that I know you would think to do that. But don’t think that doesn’t mean I don’t know that you can still pretend and try to escape later.”
“…I’m sorry, what? I spaced out for a bit.”
Liza giggled. “Just like in class. You really need to learn to pay attention. I bet if you hadn’t been spacing out you would have noticed how you shrunk.”
“Liza, I told you that I don’t know how it happened. I literally just started shrinking out of nowhere. I didn’t do anything different from what I’ve done for the past week.”
“A whole week of slacking off in class? I hope your grades aren’t suffering too much.”
“I wasn’t slacking. I just get bored is all… and I still listen!” You defended yourself. “And you have no right to talk about slacking. If you’re so focused on the lectures, how’d you see me on the floor?”
“You crawled right under my desk, it would be harder to not see you. I’m so glad you decided to take the dumber straight path. It lead you right to me, you’re savior. If you had been smart and gone around the back where almost nobody sits, you’d probably be stuck with May, making goo goo eyes at her.”
“What are you talking about? I was going to her for help not to… wait make what at her?”
Liza smiled at you smugly, leaning forward to rest her arms on her desk. “Don’t play dumb. I sit behind you in most classes and I catch you looking at her all the time. You totally like her.”
“M-me like May!?” You shouted, blushing lightly. “D-don’t be ridiculous! We’re just friends! I mean, May is really cute and pretty and stuff, but she’s not interested in me. Well, I guess I don’t know that, but she’s never shown any signs that she’s interested so I haven’t even thought about making a move.”
Liza playfully pushed you down with a finger. “I’m not really interested in all of that, but I bet she’s shown that she likes you a lot of times and you just haven’t noticed. You’re kind of spacey.” The young giantess laughed. “But let’s forget about that now. What I’m interested in is…”
