"Tina made a bet that she could escape from me without any help or magic," said Burtha. "If she wins, I'm her mount during the next three quests. If she looses..... well, it's a good thing that we have a week's worth of Downtime, given how difficult our last job was."
"I'm still kind of surprised that all of you are one group," you said.
"To be honest, we tend to stick to the four members in the field per job rule," said Triana. "But, we've also done a number of big jobs together, either with one team, or another, to the point that it didn't much matter - Skullcrusher, Throatslitters, Spellblinders, Charmers - didn't matter. If we heard that one of the others was in trouble, we'd drop whatever Downtime we were doing, and rush out to help them. Got to the point that we decided to forgo the rule limiting our total party members, and just join the teams together."
"More fun that way too," said Burtha. "Triana was the leader of the Charmers, I was the leader of the Skullcrushers, Tina was the leader of the Spellblinders, and Gorga was the leader of the Throatslitters."
The orc female smiled at this. "Plenty of good times."
"So, whose the leader now?" you asked.
"Depends on the Job," said Gorga. "Some jobs require more Sneaking than fighting - my Job. Some require Magic only - Tina's Job. Some require plenty of Combat - Triana's Job. Some require Magic and Combat - Burtha's Job."
"What about payment?" you asked.
"Half goes to those that did the job, and the other half to those that didn't, split evenly among those respective groups, as it were," said Tina. "Now, let's see if I can climb up this mutt's throat."
"Oh, you're going to pay for that one!" Burtha got up, and started doing flips of some kind.
"Hey!" came Tina's voice. "That's cheating! You're using magic!"
"I'm not the one under a No Magic rule," Burtha said, with a grin.
