Chapter #3

Terry's need.

Harmony had difficulty grasping what was happening. None of the texts ever described them as being anything other than wild animals. Certainly never talking!

"Heh... mmmmm."

Abruptly she turned, staring at the sticky, wet pile of naked Terry on the ground, a giddy smile on her face, which was bright red. Oh, that's not good. Harmony stepped over to the girl before she could do something stupid.

"Terry, TERRY!" She said, crouching down beside her and turning her face to look at her. "Focus, it's over. Try not to think of it." However as she said that Terry bit her lip and blushed even harder. "Teresa!" That got her attention! She blinked, scowling at Harmony. "Now, just try to remain calm, let it go."

"Huh?" Terry said, blinking. "That just... felt so gooood." And that sense of joy started washing over her again. Abruptly Harmony slapped her.

"OW!" Terry gasped. "What was that for?"

"The beast has affected you. We talked about this, the shift of emotion?" Terry blinked again, seemingly lost. Oh that girl never listened! "It has affected your needs and wants. Throw it off! You don't want to be controlled girl!"

She frowned, but Harmony could see that edge of need still there, and Terry's gaze was drawn towards the beast slowly. Why can't she listen?

"I... guess." She said. Nope, she wasn't listening.

"Terry. Let. It. Go!" She said intensely. "If it goes too long you won't be able to go back to normal!"

Terry snorted.

"Normal? Around here? What's that!"

True, but unhelpful.

Their conversation was interrupted by a stirring on the other side of the alley where the thing had drawn itself.

"What happened to me?" It warbled, obviously in distress.

Harmony gave another glance at Terry, who likely was ignoring her advice still, and stood up to deal with the other problem. Walking over with as good a bearing as she could manage she stopped just out of rapid strike range, hands behind her back, staring imperiously at it.

"Demon, I know not how you came to be like this, but return from whence you came."

It stopped writhing and many eyes turned to stare at her in shock.

"D... demon? I'm... oh shit!" It curled in on itself, shrinking as it's tentacles drew in tighter. Then Harmony sensed Terry come up beside her. Oh that annoying girl! She tried to ignore her.

"Do you have a name beast?"

It stirred, blinking in a weird pattern across all it's eyes.

"I'm not a beast!" It said indignantly. Then a little calmer. "Keith. Keith Fairchild."

Harmony raised an eyebrow. OK, not what she was expecting.

"Hi Keith." Terry said happily from beside Harmony, waving a hand at it. Harmony groaned. Glancing to her side she saw Terry seemed completely unconcerned she was still naked. Oh that girl!

"Er... Hi... Are... you OK?" It said to her. "I didn't hurt you did I?"

What? Harmony felt her jaw go slack at that. It... cared? No, this had to be some sort of trick.

"Heh, oh no. Definitely didn't hurt me. Heh... Mmmm." She said, and Harmony turned to see her grinning widely.

"Terry. Why don't you go back to the Sanctum." She said softly.

"Nah, I'm good." She said, not tearing her eyes away from 'Keith.' Harmony rolled her eyes. This was going to be annoying!
