Harry Potter: Main character, Boy who lived, chosen one, etc. Now how do we do this?
1) Due to acidental magic during his shitty childhood, Harry's body reacts to fear and stress by shrinking, hoping to either become a smaller and less interesting target, or to become small enough to sneak away from the aggressor
2) As he was basically a muggleborn student Harry didn't have all the vacines for magical illnesses his magically raised peers received growing up, such as Dragon Pox, or more importantly in this case 'Shrinking Violet'
3) During his 4th year while the school thought he was a cheater, he gets cursed in the back, the spell causing him to shrink when feeling strong emotions, particualtly negative ones
4) Just because the Death Eaters weren't allowed to kill Potter, didn't mean they couldn't do things to make his life difficult, as Bellatrix uses an old, dark curse to cause the boy to shrink when feeling strong emotions or in highly stressed situations
