Split them up

You decide to give them some one-on-one time, separately. You cause two separate noises, each coming from other ends of the house.

The two look around, realizing you're making a commotion.

"Oh yeah, we've definitely got something." Jackie said. "Sounds like something in the basement." Not waiting, the tough looking woman looks for the stairwell to the basement, leaving Mike behind.

Mike, at first, starts to follow her, until you again make a loud noise from the attic. He pauses, looking as if he's trying to choose what to do, before ultimately turning around, and going up, towards the attic.

You're able to haunt both of them at the same time, but for story's sake, we'll only follow one of them for now. So, who's first?
