Chapter #4Keckleon Brothers Shop by: シエス   As he entered the brother's shop, it seemed that only one of the brothers was at the counter today. Maybe the other was out getting more stock. Regardless, the shop was pretty empty. The only other occupant was a Braxien who was looking through the apples. As Alexander approached the counter, he was distracted by the sight of a very rare fruit, a Magost Berry.
The Keckleon brother says, "Oh, Alexander, I see that you're interested in the Magost Berry. We just got a shipment of a few of them the other day, though they're a bit pricey. 3,000 Poké should be good."
Alexander sighs softly and decides not to buy it. There was no way he could hope to afford something like that right now.
"Maybe some other time, then."
"I'm sure the Berry will still be here by the time you save up for it."
"Magost?" The Braxien said, perking up at the mention of the name, turning towards the counter before approaching and handing the Keckleon Brother some Poké, "You have some in stock?"
"Yes, but I can't seem to remember ever seeing you before," the Keckleon said.
"I was on my way here from an expedition a few weeks ago and decided to take the scenic route. I can't resist Magost. I'll take every one you have!" The Braxien said cheerily.
"Very well," The Keckleon said, putting the berries in a large basket, and they negotiated an absurd amount of Poké for them all.
The Braxien takes the berries and gives a bright smile. "Thank you very much. It was nice meeting you," the Braxien says before taking the large basket of berries and exiting the store.
"Seems we have another fan of the Magost Berry," the brother said as he looked over to Alexander. "Sorry about that, better luck next time."
Alexander sighed once more, gave a smile to the brother, and said, "That's okay. I'm sure I'll work something out."
He exited the store and followed a bit behind Braxien as she went into the Inn. As he entered, he saw the fox enter one of the Inn rooms, seemingly to eat the berries alone.
Alexander knocked on the door, saying, "I don't mean to intrude, but I was wondering if I could have a bit of a conversation with you. It would only take a few minutes."
A soft chuckle was heard on the other side of the door. Which was quickly followed by a sigh.
"It's open," a voice responded.
Alexander opened the door and stepped in. The Braxien sat in a chair and looked through a bag of apples next to the basket of berries she had just purchased.
"What do you want? If you're here to ask for some Magost, then I'm afraid you've come to the wrong place. I bought all of them, so you can't have any," she says.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
