The next few days for Jack weren't eventful in the slightest. He got through his classes on Friday no problem, then just hung out and did his homework in his dorm over the weekend. Jack partly dedicated homework to his weekend so he could see his family, more so his mom than siblings, more, and also because he wanted to have a good start to college. Anyways, the weekend passes, and Jack wakes up on Monday morning, finding that he received a text from his mom.
"Good morning sweetie!" the text read. "We're just leaving the airport now, so we'll be there in about an hour and a half or two hours. See you then!". That text was sent ten minutes ago. Jack chuckled, knowing his mom was a little silly for planning this trip, especially at the beginning of a school week, and got out of his bed. In twenty minutes, Jack was showered, dressed and styled, and was out the door heading to his first class, which began at 9. Arriving in class, the seminar class, Jack sat down at the seat he sat last time, and the same two girls sat by him. The one to his right with short black hair and a casual outfit, the one to his left, dirty blonde hair with a crop top and tight looking jeans. Pretty much exactly what the two girls had worn the last time he was here.
But aside from that, Jack got straight into the lecture, taking vigorous notes. A half and hour passes, and his wrist is throbbing. "Good lord," he thought, "the professor really had it out for us today". He was finally able to rest his hand as the professor declared that the class was over. "All right everyone," he began, "That's it for today. Remember to bring your chosen reading next class and we'll have a class discussion over a few of them. With that addressed, class is over, have a good day everyone". Jack put his things away, threw his backpack on, and began walking out of the room. In the hallway, Jack whips out his phone to find a new text from his mom. "We made it! Grabbing a rental car and dropping our things at the hotel, then we'll be on our way to see you! Love you, Jack!". He received that just two minutes ago. "Sounds like a quick flight you guys had. That sounds good, I'll meet you at the north entrance to the university. If you don't know where that's at, look on the university's website and you'll find a map of campus," he replied, then put his phone away.
Back at his dorm, Jack threw his things down, then hopped on his bed. "Oh my god," he said rubbing his face, "I bet the first thing Izzy and Lucy are going to do is give me some shit about the shrink ray. I swear, if they bring up that party..." he trailed off. Shaking his head, Jack laid down and began watching Youtube. Ten minutes later, he received a text from his mom. "On our way!". Jack replied with a thumbs up, then jumped off his bed and left the residence hall, heading to the designated meeting point. He arrived there earlier than them, as expected, and sat down on one of the benches. Five minutes pass, and Jack sees a polished minivan pulling to the side of the road, and the window rolls down. Jack smiled. He looked through the windshield and saw his mom, completely ecstatic. He got into the back seat, with his sisters.
"Jack!" Carey cried. "Oh my gosh, good to see you!". Jack laughed. "Thanks Mom. We saw each other a week and a half ago when I moved in, didn't we?". Carey blushed. "Yes, but I just can't help seeing my little man thrive on his own, it's too exciting". Jack turned his attention to Izzy and Lucy, who were both smirking. "Oh, yay, my lovely sisters," Jack sarcastically said. "You're darn right, you must be thrilled to see us," Izzy cracked. Jack rolled his eyes. "Well, I for one am actually glad to see you, Jack," Lucy put in. Jack warmly smiled. "Thank you, Lucy, I'm glad to see you too". A few moments passed, Carey in the front putting in directions for a restaurant. "Well?" Izzy asked. Jack looked over to her, confused. "Well, what?".
"Aren't you going to tell me that it's good to see me?" she huffed. Jack laughed. "As if, you deserve a little silent treatment. It helps you keep that trap of yours shut". Carey looked at Jack. "Jack! Come on, they've come to see you, you should be a little more sensitive," she scolded. "It's a joke, Mom, settle down," Jack replied. Izzy looked over to Jack again, a mischievous glint in her eye. "So, Jack, how many incidents have you gotten in to?". Jack ignored her question. She repeated. "Did you hear me, you twerp? How many inc-"
"Oh my lord, Izzy, shut it. Nothing's happ-" Jack was startled by Carey parking. "We're here!" she said. "Let's go in, kids". They followed their mom and were quickly seated, Carey making a reservation before hand.
During lunch, what happens?
