After leaving the docks, you made your way down the path leading inland towards the city proper. After what feels like an eternity of walking, you arrive at the entrance to town, finding that it was bustling with activity despite the late hour. People milled about the streets, chatting loudly while others carried shopping bags full of goods. Most importantly though, there were plenty of trainers milling around too, showing off their Pokémon.
"Wow... This place sure is crowded..." you mumbled to yourself, as you strolled through a bazaar set in the town, looking at all the different shops and stalls set up along the way.
The crowds weren't anything that surprised you, given how popular the market was. You had read somewhere once that this particular location drew both tourists and locals alike because of the many rate and unusual items available for sale. That alone probably explained why you saw so many people here today.
However, despite how alluring it is to look around the stalls and buy something, you still couldn't shake the feeling that you wanted to train and battle someone. With your experience battling people back in your own region, you wanted some sort of challenge; one that would really test your skills and help prepare you for more serious battles ahead. From what you saw on the map you brought, there's a Pokémon Fan Club in this town.
Or perhaps... it wouldn't hurt to just look around the stalls. After all, you might just find something interesting enough to purchase, which you could then use to improve your team! Maybe you'd pick up a new accessory or two to spruce things up a bit. Either way, it could be worth checking out if nothing else.
