They are turned into their characters

    by: bobboled Author IconMail Icon
Five friends waited nervously in their shared house. Ben, the nerdy one, Mike, the geeky one, Fred, the mischievous one, Rod, the adventurous one, and Andy, the leader of this group of close misfits, had hired a DM for their first session of Dangerous Dungeons, a very popular TTRPG that they had wanted to get into, but hadn’t found the right chemistry of people for it yet. The problem was none of them wanted to DM, so they had tried other groups, but either the schedules never worked or the DM and other players just weren’t to their liking, and they realized they only really wanted to roleplay with each other while someone else took the reigns of the adventure.

So, Andy had done some searching around the web and found a DM in their local area who seemed just right for them, and at a good rate too. Her name was Alyssia, and despite the odd symbols plastered around her social media profile (he assumed they were from the game), she looked like the one to at least try out their little experiment with.

When the question of the characters came up, and it was offered that she could roll up characters for all of them if they wanted to, they all agreed seeing as they had had no real experience with it and wanted to see what a seasoned player could come up with for them.

A knock came at the door and Fred rushed to open it. At the threshold was Alyssia, dressed rather darkly in a long sleeve black shirt, black pants, and black sneakers, while her lipstick was as black as her shoulder length hair. She also wore a large wide brimmed hat with a pointed top and a silver star buckled to the base. She smiled as she was warmly received into the house.

The group was sat at their large dinner table and handed out sheets explaining their characters. Each of the five men looked at their character sheets:

Andy: Zagdin, Female, Half-orc barbarian, very tall and battle hardened, wields dual battle axes. Strong willed, has a big heart and an even bigger chest.

Rod: Tariel, Female, Wood elf ranger, agile and quick on the draw, wields a bow and daggers. As wild as the forest and fucks like she’s from it too.

Fred: Ren, Female, Drow arcane trickster, master of thievery and quick magics, wields a dagger and hand-crossbow. Can’t resist harassing her teammates in battle or in bed.

Mike: Elenia, Female, Tiefling cleric, as devoted to her god as she is to her allies, wields a warhammer and large shield. She worships every night, calling out the name of her god.

Ben: Frakkis, Female, Goblin wizard, devourer of knowledge, she can cast any spell with ease. Once accidentally cast a transmutation spell on her butt and now it’s twice the size of any other goblins’.

The group muttered awkwardly, wondering about the last lines of their papers when a bright flash suffused the room in blinding light. When their vision cleared, the men were gone, and in their seats were the characters they had just read!
