This choice: No... he can hear someone coming! • Go Back... Dove was so close to trying it. It would just need a quick snap, and without problems, he'd be able to try it. And with such a cute girl, too, one that has no idea what he is planning and what he wants to do with her! But... they are in a public place, and without too much time, one of Ruby's teammates approaches the two of them.
"Yo, Rubes! You vanished for a bit; I got worried little sis!"
And, of course it was Yang. Doing anything bad to Ruby would've ended up poorly, huh? Dove relaxes, as the instincts to try to get a skinsuit are there... but even those instincts know how stupid that would be with Yang just there, two against one. If they used just a bit of Aura, he'd be out of luck.
"Yeah, yeah, it's alright. I was just having a quick chat with Dove here, and you were feeling sick?" She asks, still worried. Damn, she really is a good girl overall, huh?
"Y-Yeah, not 100%. I and my boys trained a bit too hard today. But about your weapon..." Shit, why did he mention it. "Why don't you try pushing the weight a bit down? Usually, is what helps me with any issues."
Ruby's face lighting up does show he managed to luck out to a decent answer. "That could work... the materials would be expensive, and the reloading chamber would need to be reworked, but it cou-" And off she goes, thinking about her weapon. Yang, however, stands back for a moment.
"...So, no bullshit here?" She has to ask, of course.
"Nah. Just... put myself in her shoes for a bit. I'll try to do that a bit more these coming days." Dove mutters, Yang's eyes closing in for a moment... before she shrugs and moves away. She is suspicious, but acting like a decent guy makes their suspicion lesser! Who'd know?
So now, with his head a bit clearer, he gets back to the dorms. The boys are all inside, just... each one of them trying to get distracted from their new powers. But, as Dove gets under his blankets, he figures that... Hey, he managed to resist it once. For sure they all will be able to hold back and not do anything fantastic stupid with their new powers.
Now, what's their new challenge  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
