Gregory ran for his life, his muscles burning, his heart pounding. This was the worst spot he'd been in all night. He'd just managed to get Freddy out of Parts N Services and now had the brilliant plan to upgrade Freddy. It would require taking out the other animatronics - Chica, Roxy and Monty - and taking their special parts. It would give them both access to inaccessible parts of the Pizzaplex, while also - potentially - disabling the others as a threat. But this turned out to be a mistake. The security guard - Vanessa - had begun to suspect that Gregory and Freddy were working together. So now she'd been taking considerable efforts to coordinate the other animatronics to keep them separated.
And that's how Gregory found himself in this situation. The three animatronics were chasing him, with Roxy leading the charge, and Chica and Monty flanking her. And Freddy was now so far away that he was in no position to protect him. He was running across the main atrium of the park; there was nowhere for him to hide. He had to do something to shake them up. If only he could get out sight long enough to find a place to hide. But Roxy was hot on his heels; her competitive nature had been on display all night and she'd been burning with desire to be the one to catch him. She was relentless; she wasn't going to let up.
Gregory had only one choice now; he waited until he was sure that all three of them were in range. Roxy was about to pounce on him! He quickly turned, drawing the Faz-Cam; a bright flash of light immediately stunned his three pursers, giving him his chance. Using whatever strength he had left, he sprinted forward. He managed to come to a section of the Pizzaplex undergoing renovations. There was plenty of junk lying around, plenty of places to hide. He immediately jumped into one of the bins and pulled the tarp over himself. He hoped beyond hope that if he just stayed quiet, they'd eventually move on. And in case they didn't, he could just signal Freddy on his Fazwatch, right to this location. Once they had a chance, he'd slip into Freddy's chest, and they'd get the Hell out of here. He held his breath when he heard them approach.
"C'mon! He went this way!" Roxy growled to the others. "He's close; I can feel it!"
"Like, how can you be so sure?" Chica asked.
"I just can; we've finally got the drop on the little punk, and I'm not gonna let him slip away this time," Roxy snapped.
"We've been chasing him all night; how come you haven't had this feeling before?" Chica retorted.
"Will you shut your fat-beak?!" Roxy snapped again. "Honestly, why don't you go stuff your face with pizza or some garbage so that we don't have to hear your awful voice?!"
"Bawk-Baw?!" Chica reacted insulted. "Hey, I'll have you know, my voice is beautiful!"
"Really? Then how come they don't let you sing when we perform on stage anymore?" Roxy asked in a snide tone. This question prompted Monty to laugh at Chica. Meanwhile, the Chicken animatronic looked very hurt and very insulted.
"There is nothing wrong with my voice! I'll show you; I'm a great singer!" Chica attempted to sing one of their standard songs; however, due to the malfunction in her new voice-box, what came out was an ear-splitting, high-pitched screech. It resulted in Roxy and Monty being stunned. Even Gregory had to admit that at such a close range to it, this was painful; he cringed and tried to hold his hands to his ears. He had never felt this strange before; his body didn't feel normal; like his flesh and blood was replaced by an outer shell. He knew he shouldn't move, but all he could do was tremble in pain, waiting for Chica to finally stop.
Unable to take the sound anymore, Roxy shoved Chica, stopping her singing. Before Chica could say something, she suddenly felt Monty seize her beak and force it closed.
"-Shut-it!" he said. "We've got to find that kid!"
Meanwhile, Roxy looked around the area and spotted something. Over in the construction equipment, one of the debris bins had something moving under the tarp. She narrowed her eyes and grinned. She looked over to her two band-mates. "I told you I'd find him first," she said quietly "Shhhh~"
With that, the three of them slowly began to approach. Gregory could hear them outside the bin. He couldn't believe it; they'd caught him! And Freddy couldn't help him. All he could do now was brace himself for the inevitable; he threw up his hands to cover his head to protect from the attack he knew was coming. Without warning, the tarp was thrown back, and Roxy poised her claws and jaws, ready to maul...but she didn't. She stopped. Instead, Roxy's rage filled scowl melted into a look of confusion. Her expression lightened and she stood up straight.
"Wait...where did you come from?" she asked. Cowering in the bin beneath her was an animatronic character that looked like some kind of small child; he had the same general aesthetic of the rest of the Glamrock animatronics, down to the face-paint; but he looked human - like an updated Balloon Boy. The strange animatronic was trembling in fear while covering his head, like it was expecting to be hit or something. Slowly it uncovered itself and looked up at Roxy with brown eyes, just as confused as she was.
Monty and Chica expressed similar confusion at seeing this animatronic here.
"Wait a minute; who are you?" Monty asked. "Where's the Little-Guy?"
Gregory looked up at them in confusion, wondering why they weren't attacking him.
"What are you talking about?" he asked. Only to stop; his voice had changed - it sounded similar to his own, only more high pitched and had an electronic distortion to it.
"The kid! Where is the kid!" Monty asked, more aggressively. Instinctively, Gregory threw up his hands in defense from what he assumed would be an attack. That's when he saw it; his hand was no longer human; He had only four fingers; and his skin was replaced by the same polymer shell as the Glamrock animatronics - at the gaps in the joints, he could see mechanics moving underneath it.
Startled, Gregory immediately began to pat himself down, feeling everything from his face to his body. He couldn't feel anything anymore. He could only infer based on the hollow sensation of his strange new hands, touching his strange new body; the same polymer shell...Somehow or another, Gregory had become an animatronic!
"You gonna answer us?" Roxy growled, now aggressive again. "Who are you? And why are you hiding from us?!"
"I uh...I," Gregory said trying to form words; but right now, he was too afraid to really say anything. That is until his shoulders were suddenly seized and he felt himself being throttled by Roxy.
"I'm not gonna ask again!" she yelled. "What are you doing here?! And where did the kid go?!"
"Will you please stop being so mean?" Chica chimed in. "You're obviously scaring him."
"Oh we'll do a lot more than that if we don't get some answers," Monty said cracking his fists.
"Roxy, wait!" they heard Freddy say as he finally caught up with them. "Guys, please stop; I can explain everything!" Freddy was worried that they'd caught Gregory when he ran up to them. But the bear too was surprised when he saw the strange new animatronic in Roxy's grip. Gregory looked back at him, shocked and helpless; not even Freddy could recognize him now.
"Freddy! I should've known you were behind this," Roxy said. "You better start talking, or you're gonna be in big trouble. Now tell us, who this guy is and why he's here."
"W-w-well...he's...uh," Freddy was nervous. Gregory knew he had to do something; he got an idea.
"I'm uh...I'm Super-Star Glammy!" he said excitedly. Roxy turned back to look at him, eyebrow raised. "I'm the Number-One Fan of Freddy Fazbear's Glamrock Band!"
Freddy's eyes went wide for a moment, not only recognizing the voice by the slightest bit, but also taking note of the use of 'Super-Star' in the name. He was confused; it was impossible. But then, he didn't have time to worry; now was the time to improvise.
"Oh well; it looks like you guys caught me," Freddy said moving over towards the new animatronic. Placing a hand on his shoulder reassuringly. "Corporate has decided to bring-in a new character to better appeal to the younger demographic. They sent Glammy here to join our crew here at the Pizza-Plex. I had him hiding because I wanted it to be a surprise after maintenance. But with all the excitement tonight, it didn't seem right yet."
"Y-Yeah, that's right," Gregory added. "My schtik is, that I'm the Band's most devoted fan, and am meant to help inspire kids to buy as much band merchandise as possible. Freddy told me to hide, and I admit, I was pretty nervous meeting you all face-to-face."
"A newbie? How come we weren't told about this?" Monty said.
"Well like I said, they wanted it to be a surprise," Freddy answered. "I hope you guys aren't too mad."
"How could we be mad when he's so cute?!" Chica asked. Without warning, Gregory was seized into a big hug from Chica, rubbing her face against the top of his head. "Welcome to the family, Glammy~"
"Uh...Thanks...Chica," Gregory answered nervously.
"Sorry about roughing you up there, Little Guy," Monty said. "We've had a very frustrating night."
Meanwhile, Roxy had stepped back and glared at the new animatronic. "Oh great; a new favorite," she said condescendingly. She rolled her eyes and looked away, growling. "We've already wasted enough time on this punk that the kid is probably on the other side of the Pizzaplex by now! Can we please get moving?!"
With that she ran off. Monty immediately followed. Only Chica stayed behind for a moment.
"There's a kid lost in the store tonight; we've got to go find him. But when we're done, I want to know everything about ya, Cutie~" Chica gave him a wink before running off to join the others.
Finally the two were alone. Freddy looked over him again. "Gregory...is that you?"
Looking despondent, Gregory could only ask, "What's happened to me?"
