Beth pondered for a moment before deciding the best move was to test the device out, just in case something went wrong she didn't want to drag her daughter into any issues. Beth decided a good practice place was as safe as possible, so she entered the key words "Safe, Relaxing, Comfortable, while making sure that the words "dangerous, scary and horrible" were all removed from the search. Once she clicked enter the unit took a moment before showing a few options on the screen.
"Planet vacation, Dimension G-37658… well that sounds nice." As Beth looked over the images provided, it showed nice clean buildings with happy people, nothing out of the ordinary from what she was looking for. "Well, here goes nothing…" She said as she held up the gun and pointed it onto the wall. The green circle appears and Beth holds her breath, worried about the consequences before stepping in and seeing the world she searched for.
Once on the other side, Beth was immediately relieved as everything was as pleasant as ever. As she looked around the place was covered in soft materials that looked nice to touch, the people were happy and joyful, even the air seemed better than earth. Beth was pleased with her father's invention for once, deciding it was best to go home and show Summer the amount of fun they were going to have together. As Beth dialed in home a voice began speaking to her in a happy and welcoming tone.
"Hello there! I don't seem to recall you, are you a visitor to our planet?" The voice belonged to a friendly and nice looking alien creature, shorter than Beth and covered in soft fur. It looked something like a cat but was standing on two legs and looked much more intelligent than any cat Beth was familiar with.
"Oh, sorry! Yes, I'm testing out a transportation device and wanted to go somewhere safe, but I'm on my way don't worry-"
"Oh there's no worries at all! I thought you might be visiting our lovely home, but you're very welcome to stay! I could show you around if you're interested? You look like you could use a little rest! Our people are well known for our hospitality." The cat alien said with a warm smile. Beth had the coordinates entered already, but she did like it here. It couldn't hurt to stay for just a little bit…
